  1. One reason for them to incorporate a proper portrait mode to Gpose is because when you just crop off the sides like you described, you're also cropping off the little "copyright Square Enix Final Fantasy X|V" they put down in the corner. You and I might not care about that, but as a UI designer I bet he cares.

  2. I'm not surprised about the Japanese controller usage. That's about what I expected. I remember when WoW first came out I was talking to my JP friends on FFXI and they told me about how no one in JP really uses PC for gaming back then so controller feeling more natural makes sense than Mouse and KB

  3. Honestly so out of practice with controllers at this point they almost feel weird entirely. I tried once though out of curiosity, had no idea how to move and got stuck hopping in front of the gate at central shroud XD I like my wide range of key combos for KBM though even if sometimes my cat opens up a menu by stepping on the numpad. For style…I think I might be standard? I may not be able to run backwards fast while looking at the boss, but look away mechanics are a joke unless you're on caster. Sometimes I play the other one for a bit, but once I start getting bosses with look away and don't want to stop attacking I end up switching back.

  4. I feel like the raid planner has a very limited use unless you are blind progging. Even less so in the JP community, we already have macros, game 8 and videos as other source of reference.

  5. I spent a month and a half using k+m until I felt that I was remotely comparable in terms of my performance when using controller. About 2 weeks later, went back to controller anyway because I just think it's more fun. Also, I have tried to play Standard on controller. It's so miserable, and I feel like it really shouldn't be THAT bad, but it is.

  6. P10s converted me to legacy. Getting across the bridges while continuing to hit the boss and not randomly turn around and going straight into the poison 😅. Also switching A & D to strife took away motion sickness stuff legacy use to cause.

  7. 4:24 My predictions:
    North America: 70% KBM // 30% Gamepad
    Europe: 60% KBM // 40% Gamepad
    Japan: 30% KBM // 70% Gamepad

    North America: 60% Standard // 40% Legacy
    Europe: 80% Standard // 20% Legacy
    Japan: 40% Standard // 60% Legacy

sees results Ah, I see I am particularly informed on one aspect of play and less on another.

  8. So he's responsible for standard movement, yes?

Please fix it's issues D: I like it a lot better but P10S killed it having to press buttons on a narrow strip just wasn't all that convinient…
How do I go in the statistic? I switch based on if I'm in combat or not xP

  9. Please, for the love of god, make the chat bubbles completely optional. The screen is full of shit already.
Custom chat filters could be a good idea Like you do with emails if it contains specified subject or phrase so they go into the trash automatically.

  10. Can you explain WHY you use standard though? Why do you want to walk in a slow curving direction when you hit left, why don't you want left … to move you LEFT? You had so much trouble backing up to get away from things in the last ultimate. Why not use legacy, where hitting back, actually moves you backwards, and not at a half speed crawl?

  11. Okay I'll play the guessing game. Not sure if the data will be separated into console/pc or just be all players so I'll guess for both. I can't really make any predictions based on territory so take this as my blanket guesses for all:

    All players – 75% controller
    Consoles – 99% controller
    PC – 40% controller

I play on PC with a controller. I started playing on Playstation and then switched to PC so I was already used to controller. I've tried switching to KB/M a few times but it never feels worth it so I go back pretty quickly. I do have a bit of a hybrid set up though as I use those hotbar macro's to make hotbar menu's I can access with my mouse, and I very much prefer hotbars to crossbar for crafting. Can get a much better skill layout that way.

  12. Prediction1:

NA: 60/40 KBM. EU: 70/30 KBM. JP 70/30 Controller.

Wow, I was very close. I figured with space limitations KBM is less popular in Japan, whereas EU is far, far more used to MMOs and gaming in general as a PC thing. I'm not even making predictions about the camera stuff, I barely know the difference as is.
