  1. The towers being a bit less punishing would be pretty nice.
Progging it has been a nightmare for me and i still haven't cleared it since the majority of parties i join wipe on towers. 🥲
It's definetely not a hard mechanic. It's just that relying on the rest of the alliance to actually do it right is the frustrating part for me as a solo player.

  2. Oh nice, kinda fast response too! Unfortunately this won't make me want to do the fight in the first place, PF is just too frustrating for body checks and moments when people just leave after a few wipes and it takes so much longer to fill up again compared to 8-man stuff.

I think they nailed the difficulty of the exploration zone content with Bozja and its big raids. I wouldn't mind a slightly toned down chaotic that can be farmed like those raids, heck make it for even more people why not.
As of now it's just too much of a step up compared to the recoverability in normal alliance raids, even if on paper chaotic mechanics are kind of extreme-like, 24 unirganized people raise it up just that much more.

  3. So they aren't going to adjust the difficulty of chaotic from pre ultimate down to pre-extreme like it was supposed to be?
On OCE the difficulty has all but killed the raiding scene for entry level raiders. Most i know of gave up when they saw how hard chaotic was and assumed that was what's to be expected of raiding in general.
Last night there wasn't a single practice group on OCE for Chaotic other than mine and in 4 hours i did not have a single person join.
And i can understand why. heres how most PF groups go that i have seen:
Fight starts and people get through the 2 cleaves. Arena changes. First Deaths hand comes out, most with it die. Death vacuum or Aero go out, majority of the team die, raid wipes.
Most entry level players cannot do these moves. Its not that the moves are difficult, its htat they go off too fast, and if you happen to use the Legacy control scheme with the AOE appearing Infront of you, the deaths hands are a terrible designed mechanic. On Legacy you cant easily walk backwards, your character faces the direction they are moving. It does allow you to strafe but you have to hold Q+E+S instead of simply holding say, S to move backwards. Most non raiders dont know this. Hell i had my Q and E keys set to Curing Waltz and Shield Samba so it was a nightmare even for me, and i have been playing 10 years.
Its clear SE never takes into account with their difficulty scaling that you are not soloing a fight, in this case you have 23 others who have to be on their game as well. Even with Savage finding 7 others on their game is a nightmare.

SE dont seem to take into account that if they say content is entry level, then make it too hard, it has the opposite effect, discouraging new raiders instead of inspiring them.
I know SE seldom fix issues with difficulty…. or in general, but they need to start taking into account issues like this, catering only to high end players while promising said content is entry level is not good for the community's overall health.
Im part of one of OCE's largest FCs and this week alone we have lost 5 players leaving for US servers due too issues like this putting off the player base. Duty finders dead. Party Finder often has fewer than 5 listings during prime time and thats with an active population of what? 15k? players?

Its all well and good the dev team being high skill players and saying "We can do it so this is fine", but that is not going to be good for the games health going foreword.

  4. I legit said this word for word in a PF! 'If they could allow an exchange of demimateria I's to demimateria II's like savage content, I would have the mount already.' This is good since there's a better reward outcome for both pfing AND reclearing.

  5. This is an alright change but honestly, I would have preferred something like a weekly reset for the first time bonus clear, that way the grind isn't as painful to go through since most of those bonuses were gone after like 2 weeks.

  6. Theres a lot they could change to the fight itself but the biggest thing we NEED to demand is no max ilvl restriction in the future. If its capped to 735 forever this will be dead content pretty much forever once 7.2 drops

  7. Welp I just finished my farm but this helps a lot for future farming because the demi1’s eventually became useless – so trading them in for the 2’s for sellable items is pretty nice QOL to keep the content going and increase the potential for Gil making rewards

  8. This doesnt sovle the issue with Chaotic. This content is going to be dead once the raiders get what they want. As a raider myself, Im not going to risk wipes trying to help new players get clears when I can just farm it with vets. They made the bar to high for people that dont need whats in there. Player will get mounts and hair and bounce. The mech arent hard, but with 23 other players, human error is what makes this hard. You can be perfect but if 1 or 2 player are bad then its a wipe. The only people that will do this are on farm are people that clear savage and group with like players. Why even make the bonus knowing new players will get shunned.

  9. Not helping that like criterion this content will be dead after barely 2 months and become impossible to run. They need to allow it to be unsynced to keep it alive.i swear the devs are disconnected from reality and only care about ultimate and savage

  11. Besides it being to unrecoverable feedback, i would have rather seen a better bonus window, getting the ~50 clears (cloud mount) in PF in a fucking pain imho (on EU at least).
It almost never there when i can use it (late night, or during the day on weekdays seems common), and even if i get a clear party, getting bonus currency is about as common as a good clear party.

  12. As someone who now has the mount and all the gear since no one wants the coffers anymore ln most farm pfs, Demi I is useless now so I'm glad this is a thing. Although it'll crash the prices of the sellables quickly. The hairstyle is already just 9mil here in JP.

  13. I dont mind the limited time bonus but i dont like that the bonus reward is RNG. Either get rid of the entire limited time bonus or give everyone the same reward. If that's too much then lower the bonus to compensate.
It would be fine if CoD was something you queued into and spent 3 pulls doing, but putting in 1-3 hours of effort and get nothing in return is not a good feeling.

  14. I have done this raid around 20 times now and what seems to cause the most wipes is technically the towers, but its not really the towers. There is 3 different mechanics happening in the span of 5 seconds before the tower and if you fail even one of them you lose a player which means a tower will be missed. Pair is especially brutal for R1 and R2, sometimes you have to dodge a haircut and move to the opposite side of the boss for pair stack 1 second later. I dont know if its lag but i often see R1/R2 fail the stack mechanics while their dead bodies lie in perfect stack position.

  15. I was excited for Chaotic for a few days until I realized it would just be a worse version of 8-man PF, I really think they should design more content with data from unorganized groups of players. Finding a group of 8 for an EX is a process already, having to do that 3x over and then coordinating that many people in a fight with tight mechanics gives me a headache just thinking about it. I hope this change makes the hairstyle more affordable at least.
