  1. @Bwana The most important thing is to get Alisaie right. What will Alphi do if your pronounce him wrong? Roll on the floor throwing a tantrum? Ali will just straight up murder you. XD

  2. Many streamers started 14 because it was popping off on stream. Zack started because he was tired of WoW, wanted a change and saw his friends having fun. It was actually a risk for him. That’s the big difference, he really wanted to enjoy it.

  3. When you see a grown man twisting his nipples off because he missed a jump in a damn jumping mini game and keeps playing I feel like I should at least pay respects for him enough to listen on what his opinions are on the game.

  4. I must politely but very adamantly disagree with your thoughts on evil. You say a lot of times people start with good intentions; I agree, a lot of the times they do. But then you say "most people who do bad things don't intend to do bad things" and that is entirely different. Rapists, cereal killers, human traffickers, cartel members dismembering families, warlords making brothers shoot sisters in the street, chopping neighbors up with machetes, murdering someone outside of a stadium because your sports team lost… that's life and realism. Those are the tip of the iceberg and things from all over the world that governments try to take off the internet, or not talk about, or civilized people don't discuss in civilized conversation. Things that don't fit the narrative of "most people do evil things by mistake". More accurately, most people YOU'VE seen and live around and watch on TV do evil things by mistake, or by going too far, or with good intentions. But most people in YOUR world is not most people in THE world, and THE world is filled with "skeletors" that many people never have to acknowledge or deal with. Most people can't even imagine the possibility of being in those situations until one very unlucky day, some of them just ARE. Anyone that says most evil is an accident or the result of one thing leading to another, quite frankly, is lucky to be able to genuinely believe that.

That's not to say that the opposite isn't true either. There are also genuinely good people that do good things. Anyone that says "they only do good things because it makes them feel good too" might be right, but that doesn't erase the fact that they choose to do good. A world of good feelings that come from good actions is far better than a world of good feelings that come from doing bad. The sky isn't burning, the world isn't ending because the wrong president wins, you aren't going to die of cancer because you drink 2% milk instead of skim, and it helps to just grin and nod at the people that talk about how humans are going to destroy themselves. Both extremes exist and people should be made far more aware of both. Made aware without being fooled into believing the whole world is only one, or the other. FFXIV simply samples the whole spectrum to tell its stories and that's why it's more realistic than a game that simply says "Here is villain, villain is bad, destroying villain is good".

  5. Great reaction video. 99% agree. The only 1% where my opinion differs is for the minimum ilevel, no echo Coils. I think that today they should be done that way. The normal synch is just an orgy of 8 players raping a mob that can’t even be called a boss anymore.

  6. It's great he really enjoying the game. Also he has played the old raids with no problem in getting group because I have waited for a hour to play the old raids because not many people do them but for him its seconds that people join.
I'm happy he gets to experience everything so far.

  7. I so strongly disagree with not doing everything Min iLvl. The fights just don't exist queuing through the DF these days. No one looks at Shiva and thinks it's the same experience. Brute Justice doesn't even get to transform these days. If you don't care about the actual fights and just want to enjoy the story, that's fine. The problem with that is you're basically pressing Fast Forward on each of the trials/raids and skipping 80% of what made the fights so memorable. Sprouts barely hear Oblivion nowadays. They reach 1% of Thordan before the fight even gets going, Knights of the Round is supposed to be a SURPRISE, it's not supposed to be the whole fight. I don't care if the Sprouts wipe or not, I just want them to see the fights for the spectacles they are. Breaks my heart seeing what's become of such great fights because our numbers are just obscene these days.

  8. The thing about doing things at minimum item level no echo isn't even the "authentic" way. The majority of the players that were going to be doing that content when it first came out would have already been a little bit above the minimum item level required to enter it. Granted, it's not as big of a difference as doing something like Ravana in full 270 Augmented Shire gear, but it still stands that the bulk of players that were that invested in endgame content and running the highest level stuff as it came out would have already exceeded the minimum item level to run it, with the exception – perhaps – of trials that came out in the same patch as a new tier of gear. However, if a new trial comes out and there's no new tier of gear to come out with it, then chances are by that time, a good number of people have already gotten well above the minimum item level required to run it. Perhaps it's only by 10-20 il. But that's not insignificant when the entire party has that much more of a stat advantage.

  9. Bwana, I loved your vid and I very much enjoyed seeing your take on asmon's experience thus far on ARR and the start of his journey through heavensward. I slept on it and had thought about what you initially said about the issue with him running through minimum ilvl raids and content. Honestly, I think that's part of the entertainment; asmon is an entertainer and provides an experience no other streamer for ffxiv had done up to this point. There are in fact some people who do want him to waste his time. I agree with this sentiment; however part of the reason it works so well is simply because people who have otherwise swept over this content through staggering ilvls and better kits, now get to see the way the fight was intended to be played by the developers. It's like living through those first moments once again. Having that life of the game brought back out like it just came out the week prior with all the ups and downs otherwise never seen. I dunno if I'd classify this as a nitpick; I just personally felt what you had mentioned as advice, whether he takes it or not, kind of missed the mark as to why he does it in the first place. Maybe he doesn't think that far into it idk lol

  11. My only problem with Asmonbald is that he kinda full of himself. I am not saying he is a bad player or anything. He is kinda selfish. But he does what he want in the game does his own things. So congrats on that part.

  12. Asmon is one of the most real and level headed people on twitch. It's kind of amazing how huge he is and still doesn't have much of an ego. Dude is always honest, whether people want to hear it or not or even agree with it.

  13. Thats basically all i hate about Marvel…..
I dont have Coil finished, aswell as many others. It was stupid hard at time. Locking story elements besides content that big part of audience cannot complete is poor design choice.

  14. The coils are unseen by alot of new players because 1. Queing in dutyfinder you can sit there for 5 hours with nothing happening. and 2. There is almost never an actual partyfinder group for it and most new players have no clue how to do coils and so don't want to make their own party.

  16. I’m sitting here wondering how many of his fan base who used to scream “weeb” in chat think about him referencing berserk and knowing all of its story because, big shocker, he has watched anime, and read manga. Most know, I think, he is memeing most of the time, but I wonder how many don’t realize Asmongold is Zack and a real person. Not trying to badmouth his chat, but just something I was thinking about while watching this.
