As a DRG main I'm never going to complain about quicker jumps. It's still a hard thing to time with the move freeze and sending me flying across the field while being critical to my big dps window. Glad to see some button bloat drop with mirage dive.
What MCH needs is the removal of relying on duration skills to dps as server ping is kind of an issue. Maybe change from "here's a few seconds to spam a button" into "you now have x ogcd button presses"

It's sad seeing MCH not getting the charges on Hypercharge since it's basically mandatory for me to be using a vpn to comfortably play it as it is now. No other Jobs are like this with the 6.1 changes, so all this does is make me not want to play MCH anymore since I'd rather not be paying an extra monthly fee for a single Job.
I had a feeling they weren't gonna address the AST button bloat, but until they do I doubt I'll play it much. Playing it with a controller feels bad to me.
I still won't be taking DRK into any dungeons, trial/raids sure, but not dungeons. WAR's ridiculous self-sustain didn't get nerfed at all so it'd feel like I'm trolling the rest of the party if I brought any other tank.
I only now realize it's the Jobs introduced in Heavensward that seem to have all the problems, for me anyway.
Does this mean whm will heal again in PF?

Honestly for me I don't like the dancer changes, I alreadey disliked the direction they were taking dacner where the job is so painfully simple outside of tech windows after removing the aoe procs from flourish that made 1 minutes also feel more varied and fun, and now removing what I though was the coolest part, playing around rng to manage your procs well ahead of flourish. They somehow turned a 2 brain cell job into a -1 brain cell job and it feels so hollow I just don't enjoy it anymore.

I feel annoyed at the MCH changes, doesn't feel like enough to overtake BRD.
Also feels weak compared to the SMN buffs
DRK needed a change to Abyssal Drain/ Carve and Spit for more self healing
Having seen smarter people do that math, the MCH changes are a big middle finger to the job's problems.
The smart people figured it is a 2.4% improvement where it needed a 10% at least to be where a selfish dps should be in comparison, and especially for how insulting low MCH is on damage right now. MCH will still be shunned for groups unless you can convince them that your job comfort will matter that much. Just makes me sad is all.
I was holding out on leveling White Mage until this patch just in case they changed it. Lo and behold, I can go past 80 without feeling like I'm getting weaker as I level.
Also DRK getting AoE at low level and a better invuln makes me more interested in actually leveling it.
Edit: I just wish they'd give Machinist some real help, and at least announce an intent to make Summoner more interesting. Even if it takes until 7.0 Also I'm incredibly disappointed that they removed Kaiten after ALL the backlash
Fully agree with your wildfire statement. I can’t barely see Wildfire when it finishes. Yes the numbers are high but I do wish it was stated as a crit or a BAM!

That "Wanderer's Minuet now changes to Pitch Perfect" thing bugged me at first, until I realized I can just put another Wanderer's Minuet where my Pitch Perfect currently is lol.
I don't understand, Glare isn't on the patch notes. So it's not getting its mana reduced to 200 like all the earths?
I lowkey wish that summoners pets are the one casting and using ruby/topaz/emerald ruin but that would mean every single pet would need to stay out until you use all your pets ruins and have both casting and walking animation.. something about the egi just standing there following you doesn't sit right with me.. It doesn't feel complete.
Summoner balance discord has been flipping out all day about these changes with swift cast now being shifted to likely being use for Garuda instead.
Afflatus Misery being the same as 4 glare casts kinda buggs me. Its now the exact same potency as 4 glare III casts and idk how I feel bout that. Would have rather seen Afflatus Solace and Afflatus Rapture as oGCD's and Misery keeping its potency
I really wish they stopped sprinkling cure potency on tank actions like that. Running experts with self-healing tanks is really boring when you're the party's healer. If they want to help bad healers they should consider putting convalescence buffs on tank actions, at least it would feel good to pop giant crit shields and heals as a healer. With those PLD buffs I'm afraid WAR might not be the only boring tank to heal in 6.1.
the changes to the lilies and afflatus misery will make it net positive for dps despite being net neutral for potency. with lilies charging in 20 seconds, you can guarantee a misery cast during every even and odd minute burst window, meaning you'll get whatever associated buffs your party comp has during those bursts in addition to the extra potency and increased number of casts per pull of the skill itself. So overall, more dps for white mages over the course of a fight.
As a DRK main, these patch notes made me very happy. I can take away a fair few of my skill speed materia now that Blood Weapon is stacks and Living Death isnt an "avoid until absolutely nessicary" button. if anything its worth casting on big pulls in dungeons just for the huge curing effect from AOE's. Its no blood letting, but closest they'll get to it. And all for the low low cost of 30 potency off one of my ranged attacks? I'll take that.
for dancer would that mean that every dance step would add to the blade dance gauge?? haven’t seen anybody talk about that
I'm asking myself why carbuncle is still there. i mean, searing light coming from the caster is what i had always wanted devotion to be. but now carbuncle is even more useless than before… i already see it removed next expansion, rip
Sage Addersting is not something new it is what we do pre pull shield 3 persons just for that 3 stacks and it is a pain to do every wipe.
Machinist is Good for Savage and Ultimate Prog
patch 6.1 Gives Machinist Roughly 2.4-3% dmg/potency buff The AOES remain unaffected sadly
and wild fire is an auto proc it detonates automatically when the timer expires and its the same with the Drone and the Robot
The more weapon skills that you do and they land a hit or a Crit during wild fire the more DMG wild fire Does when it explodes which also make a Bigger Explosion and well Wild fire is the Machinist Skill Spam Phase you spam as many skills as you can during the Wild fire timer to make a Bigger Boom when the timer expires
i have Been playing Machinist for over a year now im still working out the kinks of it i fell in love with the class and im not gonna change it anytime soon
