I remember they did this for Warhammer too
i'll be honest, my guy, i'd never heard of you until the FF14 drama kicked up a month or so after i got into the game. now i'm sticking around to see Blizzard have a meltdown and have it actually explained
Asmongold has more subscribers than Blizzard.
THE WC3 COMMUNITY REMEMBERS…
Just going to say, even ff players are scared of Limsa Aetheryte Plaza
I play wow because.. pvp on big pid
10:26 yes that is me- get shit on!
Yeah, the leveling in FF14 seems absolutely boring… this MSQ grind shit is mind numbing. Yes, you can call any kind of grinding that but I'll take a combination of questing + dungeons over this MSQ spamming horseshit any day of the week. I've spent over 90% of my time in MSQ just running and porting from NPC to NPC- that's it. I get it, the MSQ is in the spirit of FF, but in the package of an MMO I just don't give a shit about it, especially when it feels far less epic and more bloated/time wastey than it would in a singleplayer game. Hell, you do a lot more fighting following the main questline in regular final fantasy games. The fights and such are good so far- I look forward to the raiding, etc tho.
If you call somebody weeb and you're playing wow, think hard because your the pot calling Kettle black.
Nerds calling people weebs lol
Could you imagine being a developer on an MMORPG, and be playing a completely OTHER MMORPG instead of your own? That's how you know your game is failing.
Asmon then: Weebs are fine as long as they're not annoying
Asmon now: No for real though, can I marry this catgirl in the game, like is that an option?
I'm not playing WoW again untill they get rid of world scaling, anima, half the gear and borrowed powers.
I bet by this time next year you WONT be playing WoW. Unless they completely redo WoW, I honestly believe it's a dying game now.
no option to say "playing already"
It’s also funny that they put the items in the reverse order of what you’d expect, leading to help people see the result Blizzard wants them to pick first.
ff14 and wow are way too different .. imho the style just doesnt fit for a wow player or the other way around .. you try ff14 and at some point you get annoyed of the style … thats just it
I don’t even play WoW or FF14 however something that’s very clear is FF14 players seem happy while WoW players feel need defend their game.
If getting defensive over it then maybe there’s a issue.
FF14 does have a lot of faults but I love it. Things to improve though… the inventory system hasn't been expanded and they have a hard time adding more slots because of how the game is coded. Glamour is also limited… 400 slots for it is not enough, I kinda wish they did was ESO does and just allow you to glam once you obtained an item once. Housing is also pretty limited and cuts off a lot of people who doesn't have a free company house from content. And a lot of people have done unhealthy things just for the sake of trying to get a house. Some side games haven't had improvements until recently like Triple Triad.
WoW pvp is not balanced in pvp for all spec so no thanks!
The last expansion I really enjoyed from WoW was Legion. The most recent ones just made me quit.
"The solo and social stuff I don't care about." 3 weeks later, addicted to the Gold Saucer. Lmao
why even add endwalker, just the ff14 gaem in general wouldve been a better question, blizz can even get a survey right…
the being told to play wow, only works with go try out wow and not many other games, it was for the ff Devs to see what wow has done beyond wrong and not make the same mistakes
FFXIV just doesnt have that vibe, and i hate my chacater look like an anime characters. i prefer pandaren
Ffxiv learned a lot from ffxi in that older content rewards are still best in slot 20 years later. That damn Rajas ring is basically best in slot for most, if not all melee jobs, still!
WoW PVP has balance issues but it's still leagues better than FF14 PvP. If they could do something about that, FF14 would become the new MMO norm. Its sort of already becoming that.
Don't like weebs but play a Japanese MMORPG.
I mean….woaow hahahahahah
Well rather than "quit" WoW, perhaps take a long extended vacation from it and play FFIV. At least till Blizzard has no choice but to go all out on WoW again. Awaken the sleeping frost storm!
"That's not going to happen"
Narrator: That did happen.
By the time CATA hit it wasn’t WoW anymore. Talent Tree system was dumbed down HARD
I think It's more than clear now that the modern Blizzard is just a corpse being puppeteered by people who hate us.
You know, I originally started FFXIV back during the days before Yoshi-P, for about five minutes, it was clunky, unintuitive and difficult to even move around in for me. I left that, first WoW experience was Cataclysm, had loads of fun, maxed out my Paladin tank, was having a blast! Then I hit the end of the road and had no idea what to do. Eventually I stopped because I had no one to hangout with, seek advice from, how to continue, I hated PVP, felt like I was a failure and I just quit. Skip ahead to Post-Yoshi-P FFXIV ARR, I disliked it, I can tell you why too. I started as a Lancer, which…. basically has one 3 button combo, not fun, kinda just ended my run. I then powered through to 30, got my first jump, gamechanging moment, and this was FFXIV HW content, back when it was still new, back when the two ranged classes were casters, back before the 4th tank, back before any speculation on Samurai/Red Mage/Blue Mage, back before all of those things happened, I hit level 30 finally after Fantasia'ing and changing character name, and all that, and I fell in love. Your FFXIV vs WoW debate videos has actually got me fully on the bandwagon for FFXIV, instead of following it around town, wondering if I remembered the songs and how to play my Sax. That said, one of my friend's said that it was an easier MMO than FFXI… and after learning a bit, I just was like "you win, I'd never wanna do that. Your game it harder, by a lot." So I can appreciate the nuance of FFXIV vs WoW debates, considering I got to endgame in both.
For some reason i find asmon more likable than he was before.
When you try to maximize the amount of money you can screw out of your customers, don't be surprised when they go elsewhere? Maximizing profits is a joke, they teach it in every economics class, and I personally hate it. Everything I do is basically trying to screw me. From my favorite games to the food I eat, they just want more and more every year.
"If I want to have a good pvp experience I'm going to play a game that's designed for PvP" – And there's where I don't disagree. I am a PvP player.. But I'm also a PvE player, a life-skiller, an explorer,… I want the full package and if the devs have put a PvP mode into the game (or maybe even several modes) then it was clearly also designed for PvP. They obviously can do fuck all with their game, they have all the right to fuck it up the way they want it but as a player if your favorite game mode, in a game where you are heavily invested in, is being neglected or woresend over time it's just sad.
To me this is like saying you can't expect good french fries as a side to a burger. If you want good french fries you have to go to a french fries shop because burger restaurants are purely designed for burgers, so the french fries can be absolute dogshit and it doesn't matter because it's not what the place is designed for. But in my opinion if they have it in the menu then they should either make it palatable or just remove it.
Again, I acknowledge that devs have basically every right to do basically anything to their game but I also think we as their community – or even only parts of their community – have every right to complain about something we don't like about the game.
WoW PvP was always an addition. The very First Design iteration was a Singleplayergame. But Blizzard thought Multiplayer must be in because it was popular.
I have seen this very first hand at relaese.
Sheep on player goes for 60 seconds? they never had think this throught, otherwise stuff like this would never go live. Their was also no battleground at the Beginning. Tarrens MIll was the Battleground for PvP. Fun for PvP Player if the servers didn't lag the Hell out of you but for PvEs like me? Hell
