I teared up when this came on….such a blast from the past
They're probably called Loporrits instead of Hummingways in this game since there was already a guy named Hummingway in A Realm Reborn.
So apparently this is just off FF4, buuuuut…. having only ever played FF14 I took this as a weird off key version of Answers at 0:13 "Shining is the Land's light of justice"
Such magical feeling, like a good Final Fantasy need to have, Kudos FF14 team for Endwalker!
I grew up with ff4… When I first heard this music I was on the verge of crying.
Also, it would have been fun if there was a rabbit named "nofuckingway".
I got so nostalgic when I got here. And when a friend dragged me off to the combat area just before I continued MSQ I actually started go cry, I couldn't even fight the ad and they had to back me up lol
FF14 is the only Final Fantasy game I've played for any real length of time, but does anyone else get this sense of melancholy from the Burrow?
Warning: some spoiler
Throughout my life, I found myself whistling or humming this song, knowing not which final fantasy it was from – just that it brought fond memories of watching my siblings play through them.
I thought the song to be long forgotten by most everyone.
Hearing it now in this game is like an invitation of the present world to the past.
And it's painted so elegantly with the story as a show of Hydaelyn's millennia of constant devotion to show just how far she would go to ensure the flame would burn on. This isn't her only, but her final legacy – the last little bit she could offer. Welcome to our town, home of the kind, spritely children of Hydaelyn – the Lopporits – and home to all seeking refuge in life. "We'll do our best to make everyone happy!"
This theme sounds very bittersweet. Mirrors the story at this point of the MSQ very well
I LEGIT CRIED LIKE A BABY WHEN THIS CAME ON
I never played FF4 in my life…but this theme still gave me a "False" sense of nostalgia.
Now imagine how the actual FF4 players felt when they entered this place…
Beautiful.
