Hey everyone, wanted to share my top 5 dungeons from FFXIV ARR. Final Fantasy 14 A Realm Reborn has so many dungeons and it was really hard to pick a top 5. But after finally completing all the optional dungeons and hard modes, I wanted to share my top 5 best dungeons from FF14.
Square Enix absolutely blew me away with how much effort and time goes into the story and content for each dungeon and it always shocks me how different the dungeons in FFXIV are from each other. Even the hard modes feel unique and tell their own story.
This is by no means a dungeon guide, or a tier list, just my personal opinions after playing through every dungeon in ARR.
I’d love to know what your favourite dungeons are in the comments or even your top 5, and more importantly why you like them

I agree with this list for sure! Every time I load into snowcloak I get so happy. It's just so so so good. But all of these choices are too tier arr dungeons!
These are my favorite 5 (in no particular order): Haukke Manor (hard), Keeper of the Lake, Hullbreaker Isle, Cutter's Cry, and Tam Tara (hard)
I would add more to the list but I'm trying to choose 5 hahaha
Also hi this is Xyla/Olivekat
Tam-tara Hard is just so tragic.
I think my fave has to be Hullbreaker Isle. It feels so adventurous, and then the kraken comes back in sastasha hard too
And the cutscene at end of Wanderers palace hard is kisses fingers
Praetorium for that sweet sweet experience from MSQ Roulette.
Sastasha for Wonder Tails.
Wanderer's Palace for Wonder Tails
Keeper of the Lake for Midgardsormr
Amdapor Keep for Demon Brick Chest
Copperbell Mines because of funny memories.
Some quality dungeons right there.
What I love about 14 dungeons is that they are almost all relevant to the story, and they never ever look the same, the atmosphere, the looks, the boss fights, really awesome diversity!
1 – The Lost City of Amdapor
2 – Aurum Vale
3 – Pharos Sirius
4 – The Wanderer's Palace (Hard)
5 – The Stone Vigil
Fenrir gets a callback in some content much later that you'll probably enjoy.
My list, in no specific order because I like them for different reasons:
– Tam-Trauma… I mean, Tam-Tara Deepcroft Hard is definitely on the list for all the reasons you already listed. It also give you a good incentive to finish 50 floors of Palace of the Dead to wrap up that story. And yes, once you finish the Hard version of the dungeon, Edda will appear randomly in the three cities as a ghost, and disappear after a while, or if you get too close to her. Check ?v=NnR01wRDDl8
– Keeper of the Lake. It's a very important turning point of the story, since it's where you get your plot armor turned off before HW, and Midgardsormr is a major player in events in the next expansion. Also, the first boss is named after a very obscure and fun game Square did for PS1, and it fills me with nostalgia, since I'm one of the 12 people who played it at launch.
– Pharos Sirius. It's hard to not notice the big orange crystal piercing the lighthouse as soon as you exit Limsa Lominsa, and sheer curiosity of exploring the tower make this dungeon interesting. I also believe it's the first dungeon where you have to actually manage adds while fighting the final boss.
– Lost City of Amdapor. Mostly because I like the boss mechanics.
– Snowcloak, because of boss mechanics as well. I don't have that much affinity for norse mythology, but Fenrir is definitely one of the best boss fights in ARR. But the real interesting boss fight for me is the Yeti. The snowball fight is very original.
I would say Cutter's Cry, Pharos Sirius, Hullbreaker Isle and Sunken Temple of Qarn (Hard)
Have you done Haukke Manor (Hard)? That's also an ARR dungeon and continues the story from the original dungeon.
