  1. Hope whatever sickness or tiredness you have is not bad and will pass soon<3
Volume is better this time, thank you.

Also I jsut love that class quest line, it might not be the best story in the game but I loved how the latter part make it feel like we are an important but ultimately secondary character in the story of Silvaire and Leih and their story is interesting.

  2. 3:25 — He is the boss of Gridania's guard, the Wood Wailers. And yes, you met him before XD

    7:46 — Yes.

10:20 — It comes down to what a lot of people already said: follow MSQ, and though they are fun, try to ignore the sidequests ^^° (except your Archer and later Bard quests). MSQ quite literally unlocks every feature of the game, including your chocobo and with it the ability to use mounts in general. Also, you have to progress it is you want to get the unlock-quest (blue quest icon) for Bard, and Bard is what your Archer will advance into. Meaning, you'll get new abilities and get stronger overall. And Archer wont continue.

13:00 — Doing dungeons with NPCs or players, as long as your synct to its difficulty, will give you the normal rewards. Only one thing might be annoying as a dps class/job, and that is that queue times can be very long, especially in the morning or early afternoon. For those cases its useful to go with NPCs. Also, with NPCs you have the time and leasure to explore those dungeons. If you go with random players, they'll go much faster – unless you have a newbie tank and/or newbie healer. But even then, people are more attentive to the fighting than their surroundings.

  3. Hello, thank you for another video. I hope you feel better soon. Also, well done on progressing your archer quests. You should have paleton to speed up running at least a little till the chocobo quest shows up.

  4. Good on you for giving playing with others a try. It's a shame that the queue wasn't being cooperative. Next time!

I personally think the archer questline is one of the better job stories in ARR. The characters have such strong personalities, and the backstory about the two peoples with their two styles of archery being forced together due to essentially being war refugees, just seemed to really flesh out the world and give a sense of how everything is connected. Many stories in the game are about how events big and small all ripple out and lead to all kinds of unexpected consequences down the line.

I think you caught it, but the adventuring party that broke up in that cutscene with Mother Mioune is the same one that was outside the Sastasha dungeon, where the tank Avere was yelling at the healer Edda for not using her own money to buy him potions.

As a healer main, Edda saying that Avere died because he ran so far ahead of her that the spell failed, and that he pulled too many enemies at once, is just too relateable. (Fortunately for us human players, we just resurrect and go again. So there are no hurt feelings). Once again, it's a big sign saying, "Don't be this guy." It's a shame that everyone in her party is blaming Edda, including herself, because it really isn't her fault. I wish I could've had my WoL walk over and give her a hug.

  5. In addition to DPS queues taking a little longer, it's worth knowing a bit about how the servers are structured.

Basically, when you queue for a duty it pulls in everyone on your datacentre waiting for the duty you select or a "roulette" queue of all duties they've played before.

Your world (shown in the upper right of your screen) is on a datacentre called Dynamis. Dynamis is the newest of the four North American datacentres, is made of fewer worlds and has fewer active players as a result. This will make your queues a bit longer.

As a result, it may be worth temporarily travelling to another datacentre. You do this from character selection (right click on your character name). You'll temporarily lose access to some features (your house and retainers primarily, though you don't have these yet!)

Not essential but may be worth exploring! At a certain point you may find that Dynamis queues are too long even at good times of day (when you start getting to 8 and 24 person content, for instance).

  6. You might also be able to find people in the Novice Network to help you queue MSQ dungeons faster. That chat is a bit hit-or-miss because some people use it as the game's only global chat, but it's supposed to be for mentors to help sprouts. There are enough bored helpful people in there usually. Any mentor can invite you to the chat.

You don't need to go into the inn to change your glamours, btw – once a glamour plate is saved, you can go into your character menu and just equip the plate in any sanctuary (towns or cities) in the game.

Also, Starlight begins today! This is the Christmas event. If you go to Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre in Gridania you'll find the quest. They're usually fun little lighthearted side stories with a reward of a minion or mount or glam.
