  1. Didn't it happen that wow's latest patch didn't make announced patch date and got posponed and then the dude without a second thought said "right… lets play ff. let's go boys"? Damn dude, that speaks volumes. How can devs at blizzard be happy with this? This is terrible optics for wow.

  2. So it took a dude to get people to leave wow?, I played that shit for a month and it felt like my soul fucking died, got devoured, regurgitated, and swallowed again, I could literally wake up and go straight to game, but as soon as I play it, I feel like going back to fucking sleep, at least final fantasy is playable and enjoyable

  3. I can only say it like this. I dont play Wow. I dont play FF. I dont watch on Twitch. I used to do all these things, years ago. I have no interest in any of that. yet I watch Asmongold. That's the reach of his influence. I love watching him play games in Youtube clips. I love watching him enjoy playing a game.

  4. The explosion of new players has been nutty. My roulettes in ARR and HW content are usually full of sprouts and it is a blast helping them and watch them explore the old dungeons

  5. The thing is that people who are not doing it for a living can't really play 2 MMOs at the same time with the "sweetspot" level of investment. And most people won't run two subs at the same time but rather play some months one and the other months the other following the new content patches.

  6. Ive been watching Asmongolds content for a while now (mainly videos but sometimes streams) and I sort of wanted to get back into WoW… but, ever seeing watching him play FF XIV I pretty much decided I will be trying out the game. Sorry but if Blizzard does not take this as a learning opportunity and see what is actually going on in the mmorpg community, they will continue repeating the same mistakes. At this point, Diablo IV is my last hope in Blizzard before throwing in the towel; and if they do not try to learn from their mistakes. Well, they will continue to lose some of their biggest fans.

  7. I tried ff and personally thought it was really just ok, I think people are so annoyed (justifiably in some cases, maybe not so much in others) that ff is the only similar replacement out there they can show their disappointment 🤷‍♂️

  9. Blizzard should be bending over backwards for the guy instead of insulting him. So he criticizes you're game well you deserve it because what you have done to wow over the years is a travesty! Asmon does more for World of Warcraft than there entire development team. They actually are a net loss with the terrible decisions they have been making driving players over to the competition. They should be kissing the guys ass instead of insulting him!

  10. Look, I think Asmongold is annoying and a bit of an a-hole, he's not my cup of tea………….but it's like crunchy peanut butter to me, I can't stand it but if you like it that doesn't make me hate your face.

  11. The only thing entrenching people into wow was sunk cost. Investment in their characters. It's not a surprise that when Blizzard makes investing in your character seem pointless, people were gonna leave. It was the only thing anchoring them. It's like Achilles shooting himself in the ankle.

  12. It's really a shame that Blizzard has become a sort of petri dish of festering narcissism. They are too blind to see how valuable a vocal, honest, and dedicated 'play-tester' is. It's just like any relationship. It's healthier to hear the truth from those 'close' to you rather than them blowing smoke up your butt to the point where your so high you can't see where you came from anymore.
