It’s a real shame that Asmongold let the tribalist WoW trolls win with their incessant bitching and toxicity in chat to the point that it made him not want to play the game anymore..
I don't have any hopes for Asmon to return to FFXIV it was great to watch and pretty entertaining, but with dragonflight to be released soon? No chance. And then comes ashes of creation, some other mmo, maybe another MMO and whatever else… so i don't get my hopes up for that, I really would have liked to see his reaction to ending of Shadowbringers thou.
Asmon won't return. ff is just not his cup of tea as he loves grinding shit and extremely rare rng loot. FF was just a place he took a quick break from blizzard.
It'll be a shame if Asmon never experiences Shadowbringers, but he did what he was meant to do: bring a ton of people to the game that never would have tried it, otherwise.
Like always, if/when he wants to return, FFXIV will be here. Until then, Pint, Preach, Zep, Xeems, Arthars, Todd, and so many others will hold things down.🙂
