The challenging thing is you need to build each profession to sync with others so it's fun to make money off rich people but with properties there should be shop investments so new players earn slight perks in gathering or craftsmanship aside from their contributions your rewarded a tax revenue so if you leave for awhile you can come back to feel like you havnt lost a lot but still made a profit.
wow players should be excited now that blizzard has a light under their ass
Aion was amazing back in the days.
Why should wow players be scared 😀 competition is good for everybody (except for blizzard). Do you think once they realize that there is competition they will just end their prize horse ? No it will the first time in a while where they have a reason to do better
if you want to see a good mmo (sort of) with dodge mechanics, you should take a look at monster hunter
New world beta start today Awesome 🙂
I know some people like the torghast but most people didn't start playing an mmo just for it to turn in to a rogue-like. well thats optional? yes it is but for them to have created it took away from the quality and possibly innovation of other aspects of the game. we know that is true because of "RAY D. TEAR".
Even ESO has been a blast to play in comparison to WoW.
I feel like it's such a good time for mmorpg players, for a while now the industry felt stagnated, with so many mmos being just a straight up cash grab, and wow being the only one that was "decent" if you could call it that.
Stoopzz is the man. You guys are right that competition is a good thing. WoW needs to fix basic concepts like making time played rewarding and enjoyable. How many hours have I played this year, where I didn't get anything helpful? Way too many. The pressure from other games will force them to get better, I think. Thumbs up!
What I really want is for MMOs to break the mould. Tank/healer/dps…warrior/mage/rogue…
Seriously, how many iterations on the same theme do I have to endure before someone actually creates something new. I guess the Secret World tried something new, but the game wasn't all that good. Still props for trying.
I think Blizzard could do it if they made a Starcraft MMO. Play as a zerg or a marine…
But honestly, it feels like developers are stuck in that medieval melee combat and magic trope, and for the life of them they can't get out.
i tried FF14
30 min later i uninstalled it
Funny asmongolds fans are exactly whats wrong with the mmo community. I mean just look at chat GW2 TRASH! or EVERQUEST TRASH! etc. Yes because WoW is perfect lmao! Just look at the forums enough said the game still has bugs and character balance is shit. Pvp sucks major ass the list goes on. Wow is far from perfect. Anyways have fun supporting blizzard activision because most of your money is going to CoD dumb fucks.
i miss wildstar
Wow is already dead
Im sure this comment wont get any attention, but as this guy is talking i also am a long time gamer, even maybe before him. Big fps fan i was playing cs 1.5 and 1.6 then i moved to Lineage II then i started playing wow and thats since 2005. Was a huge player on it till wotlk and been playing it on and off ever since. Started on ffxiv for little over a week and put already 150 hours and im loving it. Just actually regret not playing ffxiv after wow cataclysm
I love Guild Wars 2 material storage system i wish all mmos had it
I think people are sick of the political correctness wasteland. Same thing is happening to comic books
why is he saying copy PASTA ?? it's paste not pasta
i still cant get into ff14 due to the visual style of the game, but i've been having fun with swtor's story and gw2 in my free time. Really wish all the other mmo's had growing playerbases, instead of just ff14.
15:50 sorry… but they did that to themselves. Sure, it's a nasty thing to do to someone, but seriously… don't send strangers nudes.
Echo chamber
having fun aint easy
Is not about longevity not at all.
It's all about, game play.
For me, MMO need to be sandbox.
The gameplay must diverse without being too complex.
And the leveling must mean something.
It's the point of grinding so hard to have an unnoticeble upgrade?
What's the point of dying if you don't lose anything????
It's meaningless.
Market system that simply don't work
So on…
FF14 is just the better game to play rn
I wish more mmorpgs had Samurais
I just want to play an MMO where I can make my character look cool, how I want them to look, and be able to bully and kill other players in the world. Thats what drew me to WoW in the first place, if they got that in FFXIV, count me in.
I'm done with wow. I'm looking forward to nee world and ashes of creation
Leeroy Jenkins felt very alone right now.
Meanwhile, ESO still getting no love after new updates and expansions…
60 $ for internet, I am paying 35 euros for internet and cable my internet is 1gb/s 😀
I had the same feeling with Wildstar, when i played it personaly it was an actual good MMORPG, the world was alive, they were difficult NPC combats, you had to be skillfull to defeat common enemies, Quests werent so cheesy or basic as most MMORPG's, it was great. Ofcourse they where a few things i disliked about Wildstar, first of all where the classes identity, ive played as a Engineer & as a Spellslinger in the game & it didnt fell like they where any different from the other classes, like the spells where so uninterested that you were just pressing a button & just watching the animation without thinking that some specific spells gave you advantages, it just felt like watching a GIF. The professions wasnt great either, the profession was so messy that i ended up not knowing anymore what i was doing & made me not care anymore about those professions because the classes already had spells to fill up the void of some disadvantages. The game was also personaly heavily a Solo RPG game for they where barely people who were talking to eachother or even were looking for groups, i dont know if i can blame the community on that fully but a small amount of it but the game didnt made you needed to talk with others, you where on your own, doing your own adventure while others did the same without ever to talk with eachother. I can talk about this for hours but i think ive been talking enough now.
If you play both WoW and FFXIV, you get to spend twice the money on cash shops, wee!
WoW coomunity is bad ?? Have you played League of Legends ? 😉
Only innovation I've seen has been the implementation of the cash shop
People have unrealistic expectations about mmorpgs that just launch. They think its allready packed with 10000000h of content etc. while all the games that started back in the day had even less than mmorpgs have now.
I miss original Rift so much
3:50 isn't that playboy?
that background rock formation / water canal artwork is my hometown! the surge through there is sick moving to high tide
Runescape?
True, longevity is key. That was one of the nice aspects of wow in the past, your time investment paid off because all you put in lasted. Now in two years everything you have accomplished doesn't really matter.
Wow, Asmon's views on the FF14 races has really changed since he started playing it. Me too tbh.
I pay like $60 for like 4mb at most down in KY. Was paying more for 300kb download before a random wireless internet company finally expanded down my road.
why should any game player be scared of any Game?
If new world servers get better I would love the pvp
I left WoW to play SWTOR the first two months were awesome. The community was nicer, and people played it bc they like SW so it was something we had in common. After that, hardcore wow players came over and took the game in the end game only matters direction. We play siths, jedis, snipers and heavy artillery soldiers and bounty hunters just to be another random to compete for pixels rewards instead of enjoying it.
Its Healthy to play something else if you dont want to burn out on something you play too much.
Google Fiber is so good. I pay $70/month for 1GB. I never want to live somewhere w/o Google Fiber.
