  1. I was a White Mage through all of this, to watch this screaming that my character didn't even try to use his healing magic, magic so powerful as to be forbidden. Yeah I was miffed but what a scene and story.

  2. I remember the Fanfest right after Heavensward, some attendee brought a picture of Haurchefant and I think a candle and people put more and more offerings and it became a massive remembrance site. This scene hit everyone so hard.

  3. Haurchefant's passing was spoiled for me early on. All I knew is that a "lance" of some sort pierced his chest, so whenever any battle scene came up with Haurchefant in it and someone had a lance my heart rate would increase dramatically because he's my favorite character. When it finally came time to run the vault, my dad (my parents play the game as well) ran it with me, and while I was watching the cutscene afterwards I heart him running up the stairs at the exact moment Haurchefant hit the ground. My dad stood behind me goes "Hey…this is the part where he dies," and I just slowly turned around with tears dropping down my cheeks and I whispered "You don't say.." my heart was shattered despite the fact that I knew he was gonna die. It was the fact that my character could have done SOMETHING to save him. Tell him to move, push him out of the way, both of us jump out of the beams path, whatever we could do we could've found an alternative and we didn't. That and going to Edmont afterwards really broke my heart. It's been over a year and I still love and miss Haurchefant dearly. My boyfriend is actually jealous that I like Haurchefant more than him lmaooo

  4. so this just super discouraged me from playing the game you just did a 4 man dungeon and had to sit thru a whole hour of cutscenes afterward i like supermassive mmos but jesus is it always like that 5mins of gameplay 30min of cutscenes.

  5. No matter how many times I see this expansion it still hits as hard as the first time. What a masterpiece and I'm glad he was able to finally join us on the emotional journey that is FFXIV. May his adventures be a safe one from crippling depression xD

  6. It's a death I still cannot get over. He was such a good character. Watching him go through the story has been awesome. I am genuinely happy that he is enjoying himself in game too. I really hope he can get caught up before Endwalker drops because I want him to experience the last chapter of this current story arc with everyone else.

  7. Not to completely spoil things, but so far this death seems to be the ONLY one that actually matters in all of FFXIV so far. Stormblood had one awesome part that I thought had a very definition of edge to it's narrative…then that got immediately squashed by it's post MSQ. Heavensward remains so damned good.

  8. "Twas my life's goal to slay Nidhogg, But I find there is little joy to find in its accomplishment"

Asmongold: Yea, he was a 5 man boss and he didnt drop any good loot.

  9. This is the main and the most great difference in between WoW and FFXIV, you live the story and see the outcomes through the actions of the WoL, i'm ensure you at the end of the MSQ at the poin we veterans are, you will be much emotional attached to your character than ever before.

Story-wise, this game it's the best, but as you have been progressing the game play is fun and there's a lot of Challenges to do!
    Godspeed, have a safe Journey!
