Minute 6 and I'm laughing as hell XD
I need to see your reaction to the NoClip documentary. It's so interesting I keep rewatching it and it would fill out so much information for you.
If I understand it right, they saved FFXIV to protect the Final Fantasy franchise.
Didn't WoW once had a fatigue system too or am I wrong?
The funny thing about the flower pots is that in shadowbringers, they put some mobs in Il Mheg that is a wandering flower pot xD. Gotta love devs to take jabs at themselves xD
maybe you can start watching [3 part] of no clip documentary video (interview the dev team ,ex : yoshi-p and etc) or [11 part] the fall and rise of final fantasy XIV video by speakers network (full details about 1.0 game play [ex : flower pot] and etc and all the stuff)
Crazy to think he has been working on FF16 while doing FF14.
The lad is a god of a dev
Yay I loved this reaction! No Clip documentary next? Keep up the good work in everything!
This is why i almost always recommend the No Clip documentary first before this.
You have to watch the Speaker’s Network documentary and the No Clip documentary
FF13 had a very pretty engine for scenery and animating a few extremely detailed characters, which was the complete opposite for an mmo. The opening cutscene in the 1.0 footage stuttered like that because it was running everything in real time, and NO machine could run FF14 1.0 competently. Hell, even the game's own servers couldn't run it but that's a story for the speakersnetwork and noclip documentaries. Basically Squareenix was so focused on the graphics that they made zero attempts at optimization, which is why you ended up with situations like a flower barrel taking up more polygons and shaders than most game's entire fully animated characters.
