  1. I gotta ask, while the calamities have occurred and shards have been broken and absorbed… are the inhabitants of the source 7 times "rejoined"? Cause if they were, the Scions probably would have stomped on the first? Right?

  2. You guys might have forgotten about this, or maybe even missed it. However at atleast one point when you talk to Emet during the 5.0 story (can't remember exactly when myself), he actually admits to having been tempered by Zodiark.

  3. I got a shock when I watched the part where you talked about Lahabrea cos I just realised that we got an explanation for that afterwards LOL (which I did not notice until you mentioned).

And yes, it's hard to express to someone who havent played this game before how wonderful it is, that's why all we can do is to tell them "it's good! play it!"

  4. Boys, this was a great stream.

I did all of Endwalker in 3 days.

Originally I didn't even think about Amaurot until I was inside of it. I was just upset it took as long as it did to find our hooded friend.

That ending was as Final Fantasy as Final Fantasy ever Final Fantasied. Effin Ardbert.

I leaned on Alisae in Stormblood, but I think in Shadowbringers, I started to love her as a friend. The way they were able to give her such depth in this xpac and her overall character just hit me. She reminds me of my little sister.

🙂 You'll learn about the Convocation and the seats.

Hythlodaeus 🙂 gotta love your new old friend.

Guys pray return to the Rising Stones and speak with the little kid again. 🙂 your welcome.

You know why the proto humans sucked in Prometheus? We had to have a dumb love plot story, a daddy/daughter story, a daddy/android story, an alien precursor story, a human precursor story all for 15 minutes of him trying to kill shaw to die to a proto alien… effing stupid and a waste of a good idea. Still have no idea what he and David talked about officially.

I'll hate it with you guys 😛

There's only one dungeon better subjectively for me otherwise Amaurot is the pinnacle of dungeon design. There is no better backdrop in any dungeon and story being told.

  5. It was about this time that one of the verses of Answers finally made sense:

Now open your eyes while our plight is repeated

Still deaf to our cries, lost in hope we lie defeated

Our souls have been torn, and our bodies forsaken

Bearing sins of the past, for our future is taken

Technically the story being written in that way was a bit of a retcon, as the Ascian plot didn't exist when the song was composed. Doesn't matter, they used the song to inspire the plot, and now the lyrics are the cries of the lost Amaurotines.

  6. And the most amazing thing? Endwalker is even *better*.
Second most amazing is how Garret and Kyle always almost guess the plot beats coming. Almost.

  7. Interesting to hear their ideas for what the lyrics "one brings shadow, one brings light" mean. I always took it as a clever spin on how the WoL/ WoD is clearly bringing darkness back to the First, dispatching the Lightwardens and returning the night sky to Novrandt, but also in the very same patch flipping back to the other side of that coin and, as Y'shtola put it, pitting your light against the Ascian's darkness. Ironically the same light that Ancients themselves had conjured up in the first place to destroy the First in a rejoining.

  8. The Gravemind is technically a twisted Precurosr to the Forerunners. They weren't that evil, but in their dying breath, they curse the Forerunners for their betrayals, breaking down into Flood spores, programming that hate into it.

  9. In regards to Igeyorhm, she did wear the red mask of a paragon, she just wasn’t counted amongst Lahabrea, Emet-Elch, and Elidibus as the source’s paragons.

  10. Everything in Shadowbringers are tropes that are usually messed up. Time and dimensional travel, precursor races, an ancient villain, hidden city, an apocalypse, the destined hero-any single one of these could have easily failed. The fact that ALL OF IT works and works together is miraculous. CBU3 are actual real world wizards. This expansion is the best book, movie, and game all smushed together-people really do need to experience this for themselves. Glad you guys are getting to experience the wonder as well.

  11. I'm so glad they picked up on the Azem tidbits. It's probably my most favorite character development given to our WoL. This may sound odd but part of it is because this plot point also gave me huge MGS4 vibes especially at the final parts of Endwalker.

Garrett about precursor races: "They're good as a mystery. They almost always universally fall apart the second you start giving me answers about them."

Now I'm REALLY looking forward to hear your thoughts after you finish "that part" in Endwalker.
