Am I Quitting World of Warcraft?? Is FFXIV The Next Step??

Hello all. This video comes with a trigger warning. I’m going to be talking about the Activision Blizzard lawsuit, not in detail, but briefly mentioned it and the knock-on effect it had on its players and content creators. As well as talk about my thought process and my next steps.

  1. Hey, I toyed back and forth about whether to keep the light-hearted end and whether to have music in the background because I wasn't sure whether it was appropriate given the weight of the topic in discussion. But I decided to keep it all in and attempt to end the video on a high because the worst feeling is finishing a YT video and having a pit in the bottom of your stomach.

So I do hope that the light-heartedness of mid-to-end of video is taken the way in which I intended it to be, and not in a way that could come across as disrespectful.

    Much love, rage x

  2. This is exactly what I was discussing with my wife. Yes I’m totally disgusted by what is going on with the company but there is ALOT. Of innocent creators working there also and it’s their livelihoods as well at stake. Boycotting the game is not going to help anyone. Ofc if people with to stop playing it to try make a stand I’m all for it. I also don’t feel by keep playing it your hurting anyone either. World of Warcraft for me is an everyday coping mechanism where I can get passionate about something I’m doing outside of the real world. I’m a bit of a loner in real life and I would say 95% of the people I now know and speak to are all through playing this game whether they still play it or not. I have played this game over 15 years and made making friendships along the way. I honestly would be lost if I didn’t have WoW and an outlet currently: I have tried to play many different MMOs and other genres of games but I always get pulled back in because they are not WoW. So hats off to everyone making their own decisions of what they want to do. There is no wrong or right decision here APART FROM SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE IN THE GAMING COMMUNITY WITH THESE MATTERS FULL STOP!

  3. What a great insight into your thoughts on B/AV and the situation. Also how as a content creator this has affected you. I am a male who works in IT (not gaming) and see some of my own staff as being shining lights. As easy as it is to just QUIT it does not help in changing the culture in gaming, bringing it to the forefront does as does conversations. Rage you are a light the keeps getting brighter. If only you were on US servers and played Horde I would become a Pleb.
