All FFXIV Dawntrail Ability Tooltips For Every Job (All New Skills)



These are all the new Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail ability tooltips from level 1 to 100 for every job in the game (except Summoner traits, Xeno didn’t record these by mistake). This video is based on play of an in-development build of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Dawntrail, and content in the final version is subject to change.

  2. Yo guys, Leo (the editor) here. This video is in 4k, this is about as big as I could get the tooltips on Youtube. You can right click on the video twice > save video frame as… and you can download the image and zoom in as much as you want!

  3. If I can read that right, sch gets a slap in the face with their new skill called Baneful impaction which is a dot for 13s and can only be casted when you use chain strategem. God damn what a slap in the face

  4. Grats on getting into the media tour! And I was (and to an extent still mildly am) a little cautious about the monk changes but, if they're giving me multiple >1k potency attacks to throw out I really can't complain that much.

  5. Wow, they eliminated ALL the RNG in AST by giving them 2 distinct draw skills.
    IMO the main appeal was improvising on the fly, so this is disappointing to me and many others.
    But they also gave all the cards distinct effects again…
    This can go either way, I'd have to try it.

  6. Hopefully Viper plays well from at least 70 onwards, Reaper has a huge problem of feeling weird until 90. Can't believe they gave Viper a Death's Design like buff though, I already hated how that action cuts into the flow of Reaper and the Viper one is only 20 seconds so you have to use it even more.

  7. really wish that they would just remove the damage from both PLD and WAR gap closers, I want to play either of those 2, not DRK or GNB, but those 2 gets the no damage gap closers
    overal looks good though, just salty over that.

  8. Thank fuck someone did this. Everyone at reddit was being super fucking annoying when someone would ask for tooltips and keep saying things like "we won't get them until the literal patch drops". All of you can fuck off 🙂

    Also you didn't show the tooltips for pictomancer's hyperphantasia btw. Seems pretty obvious that it changes multiple spells to be something different when you use Starry Muse to gain 5 stacks of it.

  9. You guys have fun, I'll give DT a pass.
    I like how white mage got something else to cast every 2m.
    I like that sage got another off global 60s damage tool.
    I like that Dark Knight didn't get left behind when upgrading tanks (but dislike that TBN is still worse than literally every other tank short still, and still costs mana, because they really badly need this neutral refund mechanic for some reason, even though if you removed the mana cost TBN would still be worse than all the other tank shorts)
    I dislike the doubling down on 2m with the raid buff attacks.

    It's clear at this point that the game is much different from what I enjoyed playing in Heavensward. I hope the players who still enjoy it enjoy this expansion.

  10. Viper seems to have skills and abilities that got removed from jobs like ninja and monk for QOL..why add things like increased attack speed when other jobs turned those into traits? It feels like they dont know what to do for new jobs anymore
