  1. unfortunate for Alb that limit breaks are usually reserved for Tanks for mechanics or only used in end game raids or needing good luck and being fast to be the one who uses a Limit Break

  2. every job is unique, and 1 job to another is not same. they are have some perk on it self, like monk you need switch between boss flank or rear position to do max damage output, and bard need to keep the buff up every time while DOT enemy such poison, wind, arrow etc.
white mage with almost easy heal because WHM had insta heal, when Scholar need timing your heal to add shield.
as a tank when paladin had more defense and block reduction because using shield and dark knight with skill that can add 1/4 your max hp as shield.
etc, every class even same role but its different by mechanic, feeling, and rotation. you never feel bored with your character.

i know because i max level 80 all battle job 😀 so i can chance to other when ever i want

  3. The tank LB3's create a group wide shield
The healer LB3's are group resurrections and heals
The magical ranged DPS LB3's do AOE damage
The melee physical DPS LB3's do single target damage
The ranged physical DPS LB3's do AOE damage in a line ahead of them

  4. If you think the samurai ending to their LB3 was good, you should pay closer attention to the bard's cheeky little bow after it fires its off.

Also with the summoner one you might have missed it but they're doing a mini calamity. They're imitating bahamut.

Oh and in regards to later on you'll need a physical either melee or ranged DPS, a tank, a healer and a magical DPS to level 80 to see everything in shadowbringers. So you've got two covered with just leveling summoner and bard/dancer and dark knight will get you the rest.

  5. I'm sure somone already explained the LBs but Tanks LB3 protect party/ Healer LB3 heals and rez all in its area/DPS does ether target or AOE dmg. as for classes i play all and i have them at 80 but my mains are DRK,DRG,DNC,SMN,AST but imma be sage once it releases.

  6. one important thing to know for new players:
the Limitbreak bar is shared with the whole group (this means that you can't just use it just because it's full) every role limitbreak has its own unique effect. for example the ones from phys. range like BRD/DNC/MCH are line-aoe attacks. Casters like BLM/SMN/RDM have a big circle aoe, Melees like DRG/MNK/SAM/NIN do huge single target damage. Healers like SCH/WHM/AST do a big heal that revives everyone dead while also refill all MP lost due to death and Tanks like DRK/WAR/GNB/PLD do a big Shield on everyone (80% mitigation i think it is) so you never wanna "waste" the Limitbreak just because yours look cool cause once someone used it, it's gone 😀

  7. As a red mage main, I absolutely love it because it's one of the flashier jobs. But I also switch it up with dragoon and dancer. I highly recommend trying out dancer if you're thinking about it. It's got great maneuverability and range, plus party support in later levels. Also flashy, so that's always fun lol

  8. "Is it because they're Lalafell?"

Pretty much. It's actually canon that the Black Mage Guild is entirely Lalafell because they're normally too small to fight as effectively with strength weapons. So you'll usually see them be rogues, machinists, white/black mages, etc. although there are also quite a few Warriors as well in specific villages.

  9. It's worth noting the most commonly used lb3s are melee classes, because they are the single target nukes. Caster and ranged are mostly only used if the group doesn't have a melee or for specific fights where there are multiple targets that you need/want to kill quickly. The healer ones are used for oh $@#! moments to save the group from a wipe, and the tank ones are only ever seen on fights that specifically require the use of it to not get insta killed

  10. sometimes a RDM will limit break at the wrong time in a fight.. and I cant see anything.. I've only died like twice to avoidable mechanics because of it. but its still a neat limit break lol

  11. I'm so glad that LB3's became job unique.
Back in the day some jobs shared the same animations. Tanks all used the PLD one, healers shared the WHM one, melee shared the MNK one, ranged shared the BRD one, and casters shared the BLM one.
