  1. As an upcoming reaper main, i hope to god we have badass gear, badass move names, and badass quests that take the edge the DRK doesnt have in the first place. and uses it to make us all realize that in actuality, the DRK is a shonen protag.
    also a few other things:
more sympathetic lore for the garleans
we actually interact witht he void avatar other than the emobdiment of tht SoUls oF tHE InnOCEnt meme (no offense)
maybe its like, emet or some shit? prolly azem or like, ardbert?
    aybe we could name it?
    good dialogue
    badass LB3
hopefully no LOL DRG in the form of LOL RPR cause tbh, id like to help take a life, no floor tank for yall.

  2. Oh this series is gonna be sick. Learning what these animations are is gonna be so cool. But Bio you're gonna have to level all jobs to 80! Can't wait!

  3. The text on the magic circles are at least not Eorzean or Far Eastern, but they could be part of a Garlean or void language.
It could perhaps also be the alphabet of The 13th Shard that became The Void.

  4. I think it’s not as deep as you believe. From what we get from the summary is that the original Garlean Reapers were originally farmers. The development of the Garlean Empire was because of ceruleum and the advancement in Magitek. I suspect for those of the lower class like farmers were a select few that invoked the voidsent to supplement themselves in the wake of the invaders. But as history went on, you can see which method was the more popular one for their military. If the Ascians were involved, they might have been the ones who influenced the Reapers to make contracts. So the practice of the Reaper in modern times might be very niche since it’s not a widely adopted practice even among the Garleans.

  5. It's wild to think that the reaper job was introduced in Kingdom Hearts. Up until now, the reaper was just a reoccurring enemy type in the FF series.
All the original org members are based on FF job classes, and Marluxia was always the odd one out being based on the reaper, as confirmed by his nobody underlings in KH3.

  6. I love this job because it retroactively makes Marluxia's nobodies correlate with an FF job like most of the others
Obviously I doubt that was on purpose but it's still pretty awesome
Also this job is just so badass in general

  7. Future Reaper Main here and I must say I'm glad you made a video on this with Reaper. I enjoy your breakdowns when it comes to attacks in Kingdom Hearts. And as far as the video in question, I have my own notes that came to mind when analyzing the Reaper video as well as the bit of Zenos from the Benchmark.

Two things from the Reaper video have been screaming at me when it comes to the overall playstyle of this job.
For one, given how Yoshi P stated during the Fan Fest that this job will be "dynamic" in combat; thus meaning it will grow and change over the course of a fight. Stands to reason that as the job accumulates it's gauge of the Avatar, the job will likely transform on its own when its gauge reaches maximum. This gives the sense of how dangerous it is to wield such a power of controlling a Voidsent.
As for the second, the attack that the Job uses when Possessed is likely an upgrade for when you're in this mode. I speculate that the earlier regular weaponskills will change when in this form. Allowing you to use new skills than just repeating the same attack. (Which in the trailer, seems to really be a trailer trick to show off at least one move and to give us a good look at what it can do)

Now as for Zenos and the LB3. Given how Zenos is a bit unique with him picking up the Reaper and us as characters getting the job; I believe that what is shown to us is not ALL of what the LB3 will look like.
When watching closely as Zenos uses the LB3, given how the camera is positioned it would be hard to notice. When Zenos charges forward, covered in the Cyan aura, the moment he dashes, the color bursts while transitioning from cyan to red. I believe that when using the LB3, we will actually turn into the Reaper mode as this happens. Another hint on this is when Zenos is in the air and he is covered in the same red aura that the Reaper in the trailer has. This gives credence that the Reaper Job will transform during the LB3.

I gotta say, I'm hype and excited for what's to come with the Job actions dropping next month. I hope you'll try your hand on that video as I'll also be doing a analysis video on that myself.

  8. So, I showed this video to one of my friends, and we both agreed that, umm… this needs more context, sorry for this comment and I hope it doesn't come out as rude, but there is much more stuff to keep in mind, both mechanically and in lore, like mechanically, it's probably that the summoning of the void will be might be a rotation, it's like with Dragoon, when they switch between Life of the Dragon and Blood of the Dragon, so there is a chance that as we do our rotation, we go fusing with our reaper. Also in lore, I'm just gonna say that, that is one Ascian Prime. Small voids can come to our realm without need of a big portal, so a minor void like the one we see, could be more easily brought to our world. The video is really well made, you just need more context and more side stuff from the game, and I believe you can do it! I hope to see the great work you will be able to do when you learn more from the game.

  9. I'm gonna be using reaper and my ingame character reasoning for choosing it sorta goes along with your theory about the ascians
(Every time I change class throughout the story I think of reasons my character made those changes)

  10. Oh don’t worry the reaper form will actually be in the game and not just the trailer! Yoshi even answered in a Q/A that each races reaper form would look slightly different to feel unique!

  11. Think it looks like your attacks outside the GCD will be made by the "reaper" while your GCD attacks are made by you. Which honestly is pretty cool and thematic. Like you control two characters melded into one with the reaper not actually being a "pet" but rather your shadow. Strike with bluish magic using the scythe and while recovering the reaper strikes with red. Then fully meld together in the reaper form and attack as one with your main attacks taking on the reaper characteristics. Hyped to say the least.

  12. I'm kinda hoping it plays a bit like Summoner did in Stormblood, where you build up a resource to spend on Avatar attacks, and once you spend enough of that you get a phase where the Avatar possesses you (kinda like spending Aetherflow to gain Aethertrail attunement and then spending that to go into Dreadwyrm trance, if I'm gonna date myself and sound like a FF14 boomer)

  13. The orbs flying out of the Voidsent remind me of Phantoma from FF Type 0. This is probably a visual effect to illustrate what happens to the gauge we are probably going to build and spend when we activate our burst mode. Never noticed it before.

  14. Good idea of breaking things down but your terms are off. He had a 2 combo weapon skill and the summon is an ability so it is an ogcd and can be used in between your weapon skills/spells which are in your gcd

  15. I love scythes. Reminds me of when I visited an abandoned farm land in Oregon. I would see scythes hung across the walls of the wooden shed. Seeing this class and weapon makes me so excited!
