  4. To have good open world pvp, you need an open world, not instanced zones where people can camp and kill you as you zone in. Even if you get a grace period, it doesn't matter, because people will ALWAYS know exactly where you are coming from because there are entrance portals.

  6. I've been saying this for awhile! Though I would prefer it if we had a zone dedicated to open PVP akin to the wilderness in Runescape.

    Like imagine if we had a field operation that was open pvp that would be so crazy.

I HAVE AN IDEA IS TO MAKE A big ZONE that have realy good loot and resources that people can get or farm but it s a BIG PVP ZONE make that zone high risk high rewards if you get the loot and get out with out dying it s alll yours like a battle royal .i dont think they gona do open world pvp but a battle royal instance typa zone at least i have hopium for it

  8. Ragnarok Online WoE and Tera Online battlegrounds still imo had the best iterations to this day of pvp. Being able to also bring your hard earned gear into battle to matter, fighting over a castle with defenses is just fun and sad that newer games haven't done this. Imagine Free companies defending and attacking castles with loot or something.

  10. It would be so cool to have something like this, but I think this could only happen in a special instance, because FFXIV's zones can't accomodate open world PVP, even when you take into account the biggest zones we currently have(Aka Coerthas Central Highlands).
    What I mean by a special instance is something akin to Eureka and Bozja, but for Wild PVP, otherwise I don't think it would actually work. That means taking away resources to something more guaranteed to work for something the playerbase currently doesn't like much.

  11. What hes describing wouldnt work at all in XIV. Keep in mind that often times we cut stuck in cutscenes for 15m. It doesnt fit the game at all.

    Also, pvp classes not have separate skills so it wouldnt even be implementable.

    Now what would be possible and really fun is something akin to ESO pvp. A large battleground that is strictly pvp but the map is massive and it is basically a 24/7 pvp zone instance.

    Wouldnt be possible currently with the games limitations on # of players but theres nothing to say they cant change that.

  15. Some old mmos had pvp servers to have that experience. We should have sort of optional open world pvp even if there is a good chunk of the player base who would cry over getting ganked. Sadly I don't think it'll ever happen cause Yoshi-p knows majority of the player base are snowflakes.

  16. Open world pvp is dead. Wow tried to bring it back, and all people did was stack the deck, so there was no way it could happen. People have shown time and again that it's not what they want.
