looks like they've seen apex get away with expensive skin events every few months and wanted a piece of it – but instead of dipping their toe in, they dived
Its obvious they dont want these emotes to be seen everywhere, they dont want them to be "normal". Whether thats good or not, but people should get over their own greed and just not buy from unauthorised sources.

I don't understand the drama here. If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's just one emote and it's obviously a bonus for buying the statue.
Also, I don't know about Canada buy the economy in America is actually doing really well by all measurements, people just don't feel it because the economy is measured by things like GDP, employment growth and stocks, aka things that don't impact normal people. Rampant corporate greed and unchecked predatory capitalism are the problem, not the actual economy.

Personally, I am against including in game items with physical merchandises. And i remember back in the day i used to played flash mmo that used to do this.
i bought the omega statue cos i wanted it and the quality was arse so i never bought anything from them again. shame their figure quality and statues really have gone down hill
I think the real issue is that people are so done with predatory, overpriced macro transactions (letâs be real, they arenât really micro these days) that they see shit like this, and lose their minds

Fast forward 12 years, the same company is trying to charge $20 to make your fallout power armor blue
This, combined with the recent Apex x FFVII skin costing the same amount, and itâs not hard to see why people would blow up over it

I'm narcissistic enough. That price is ridiculous, and Square Enix is a circus. They're just marketing off FOMO to the extreme. Shame.
Normally, I am fine with âsingle characterâ redemption codes, but this particular one feels greedy. Fewer and fewer merchandise codes and promotional items have been âaccount wideâ. Years ago almost every single promotional event came with an account wide code. The Omega statueâs code was account wide – and so I donât see why the Hydaelyn and Zodiark statue code is single character? I am hoping they copy pasted text from other items – and forgot to change the advert.
Iâm fine with the emote and the price attached to it. People who get upset someone else is able to afford something they canât is a personal issue. If this takes you out of the immersion of the game. You might have a bigger issue going on and you need to figure that out on your own. I was in a situation when I couldnât afford the basic essentials and had to make sacrifices just to live and have enough to go to work and make a living. Now Iâm in a good position to afford this item and still canât justify the purchase. But to others that can afford it more power to them.
I bought it asap it dropped as Ive never owned a ffxiv figure before, while im a bit eh that the price is higher than the rest I personally like it
Yep! Been playing FFXIV for over 7 years and I have 6 "main" characters. I am also a Canadian living in the prairies. We can't afford food or heat. I sure as HELL can't afford that statue lol
For that price they should've at least made the Statue depict Hydaelyn sundering Zodiark. You know, that highly important Event with a dash of 'step on me' for the Fans

I honestly believe they should release all of the statue emotes on Mog Station….$20 – $30 dollars each and put them on some type of monthly rotation….
If i buy these things I'd buy them for the art statue/figurine and not for the emote
Square Enix won't even make outfits, emotes and minions account wide on Mog Station. So I doubt they'll ever separate an emote from a statue and make it account wide. đ
