Answers is by far the greatest video game theme ever made and I refuse to accept otherwise from anyone.
It's amazing that a lot of the opening part with the hellfire and that is what 1.0 players saw when the game shut down. The players that stayed to the end were treated to that. What a time to be alive that must have been
To answer your question, those are not the Warriors of Darkness, but their appearances were based on the characters in this trailer.
I also definitely recommend going through the FFXIV ARR raid series if you want to learn more about what happened to Louisoix (the old man) and Bahamut.
"Answers" feels a bit different to me after Endwalker…
These were the Warriors of Light, a stand in for the player characters. The WoD models take on the likeness of them to signify that they are thematically parallel but different from your WoL
If you never played 1.0, you will never know the true heartbreak that comes with playing 14. After 10 years, I still cry and the ending battle scene of 1.0. Their will never be another game out their like this. I am so honored and proud to been able to play 1.0 and the tears were real too.
I was THERE when the 1.0 servers shut down. When you beat the 2.0 MSQ, my 1.0 character’s name is in the credits as Naraku Diabolos. I have retired him and I play a character named Hayley Westenra on the Excalibur server. I’m a Ninja main.

Wildly unlikely you'll remember by the time you get there, but….
When you finish the main release MSQ for Endwalker, come back and watch this trailer one more time and relisten to the lyrics. They wove such a fantastic story that the lyrics take on multiple versions of meaning from different perspectives.
Also, the second half of the trailer with Odin, Behemoth, and the Warriors of Light teleported — listen to that music before doing the 24 man in Endwalker. 10 years later in the final raid story of this saga they weave in the music from the Realm Reborn trailer into the 24 man music and it is AMAZING. It gets missed because the final boss music in each 24 man is also amazing, but I love love love that they wove the trailer music into the raid.
