But it is a shame they're not use Unreal, I think it was Rift, & we were able to tweak up the graphics in that game & make it (for its time) outstanding.

I've honestly found that all I need is Windows Auto HDR and a little bit of sharpening adjustment to make the game look perfect. The Auto HDR fixes the hazy, washed out colors that XIV has by default and gives you realistic vibrancy without oversaturating or looking like a filter. Tweaking the detail/texture sharpening via Nvidia gives everything a much more crisp appearance.

Just an extra tip, if you card supports it of course, turn on windowed mode, set resolution to 4k, and resize your Windows back to fit on your screen, screenshots will actually have a higher pixel density than if you took it at native res.

I always dont have the best pc to make games run at a decent quality and low fps so none of these are options for me at the moment, but I will consider whenever I get a chance at having one. Hope it helps others though cause these are great ways of making it look better!

No. I left from wow after almost 20 years of love, for many many many reasons, but this is one of them. I hope the ff14 devs understand how important it is to make the game better in-game and not by addons (that are not even allowed).

I play on my ps5 but have been tempted to play on my pc for the mods if nothing else.
(Modded glams and hairstyles are far superior to what we have in game and the modders make me jelly!)

My Radeon 900 series be dying with regular settings and soon will die regardless sadly so I’m gonna be stopped from playing due to dead graphics card hope to get a new one by June

Cant wait for 7.0 graphics update, hopefully we wont need this stuff anymore! As a fellow (smol) content creator, im always like "why does my game look like crap compared to other creators?" I kind of hate gshade because i can't turn it off, but I tried using the Nvidia filters and omg, the diff a little sharpening makes!
essentially "how to make FF14 better" boils down to "use mods"…which is against ToS and yet it effects no one and only improves your experience. see the problem here? and ppl will still go out of their way to get you banned. when the devs are the ones lacking. as someone who uses mods, my experience is 10x better than without

Can anyone assist me? I have a 1080ti and usually run XIV at 4k, but I get framerate drops. I'd like to try 1440p, but 30hz is the only option in my graphics settings in game. I used the Nvidia settings to make a custom 1440p @60hz option, but when I choose it in game, the colors wash out.
Does anyone know a method to force 1440p@60hz? I am using a 55 inch LG 4k television as my monitor. Thanks in advance!
