  1. I came here for the content and staying for the Sailor Moon references ❤

I think, so far, this is my favorite video intro. Such a thoughtful analysis too, you’re flexing too much today 😂
Hope you keep enjoying the story!

  2. From a tactical sense I don't think the double cross was selfish. Sure he could use the ceruleum to power the heaters for a time, but they'd eventually run out and be back to square one. I think his real motive was that if they were able to successfully raid supplies from you they'd be way more set up to recover than just prolonging what they had then.

  3. What would it look like if Zenos smiled as a Lala?

Nothing different. Lalas are ALL evil.

Also, about whats coming up, you hmmph, grrh, blrrrhhh. [spoiler prevention kicking in]

  4. I play a Lala and the Zenos smile is way scarier than it is on any other race, the bend down is hilarious and the body check is an awesome moment of the game treating Lala's like they would any other race and that's why I love playing one. I know most people can't take being a Lala seriously but I can. They're just small people! I think that's awesome!

  5. Y'all's ability to edit and create such amazing videos that i'll be sad once this journey ends but at the same time incredibly excited to see this level of craft unto other projects.

    Also Blink-182's Anthem-3 was mid. (I can't have a comment w/o some some Garrett )

  6. The "all lalafells are evil" thing is cracking me up because my character used to be a lalafell. A poor man who had completely lost his memory, couldn't remember his name or where he came from, only this word – archon archon, oooh, what could it mean? It couldn't be anything important if he forgot it, right?
My lalafell was in actuality a conman that was pretending to be the 1.0 WoL and everyone believed him… but then karmastopped playing around and no matter how many times he tried to murder Thancred or sell the Eorzea to the garleans it wasn't working.
I ended up getting a fantasia and changing names because the game wasn't allowed me to live up to his assholery as I wanted 🙁
That said, all of EW was just amazing as a lalafell 🤣

  7. Hey fun fact about the power of friendship in FFXIV. It's *real*. Think on it. Azem in the ancient times would go around solving problems in the world with others. When you get into a group with others, your stats (and the party members) all go up, depending on how many/what Job(s) join. I posit that part of Azem's magic is amplification of themselves and those allies around them. Ergo, power of friendship.

  8. A couple of fun notes about Anima:
    – his upper face doesn't look much like Varis, but that bottom face… also, the tassels hanging from its horn brings to mind legati helmets (Gaius, Regula, etc.)
    – in FF10, not only did it have regular-sized bound arms, it also had two small ones crossed over its neck, holding up a Catholic-style icon. THIS Anima, however, only has one, and it's awfully reminiscent of the Garlean one-armed salute, no?

  9. The editing in that intro montage was amazing. That ending bit with garret's face over zenos killed me lol.
Looking forward to watching your journey continue! and also that fall guys stream lol.

  10. If I may – what was the alternative to killing Zodiark? You just let Fandaniel destroy the world as Him? Besides, in the end, it was Fandaniel who killed Zodiark. Could you really have stopped him?

I don't think there was much point to Hydaelyn to tell you that, because you already needed to fight him to stop him if he was freed. The moment Zodiark was released, the world was set on the path to the final days.

Anyway, looking forward to part 2! Let's see some cookin!

  11. I wind up very enthralled by how incredibly vile Zenos is here. He caused the downfall of his entire nation, chopped up his own father and is deliberately creating a threat to all life on that planet- and he's doing it all out of his twisted sense of 'friendship' with you- You're the hero who saves everyone, and he's giving you people to save.

also- Hydaelyn may not technically tell you not to kill Zodiark, but she DOES say that it's vital that he doesn't get free. which is close enough imo.

  12. Fanny Dan makes it pretty clear that Anima is just a primal that is sucking up the Garlean's "WE HAVE NOTHING, HELP US EMPEROR!" hopes, what more would it be?

  13. Lalafell player here.
I can confirm that the Asahi threat scene it's hilarious.
And the body snatching scene nearly killed me from laughter.
But on a more serious note. I legit feel Garlemald it's one of the best written area in the game. Quintus pragmatism and understandable stubbornness, the fact that he shot his shot and when realized it failed, he took the defeat without taking his men with him. Jullus and a different perspective of Garleans, and how if we had only a little bit more time, we could have maybe won Licinia over (I personally see Jullus as a second chance in that sense).
And yep, that's only level 83.
