the tether <<<->>> means you have to get as far from the linked target as possible. Sometimes it will change to simple line tether to show you are now safe, like in this case

  2. Many people believe Golbez is our shard from the 13th and I'm inclined to agree. 1st, we don't see his face or hear his voice. Second during the memory part of the dungeon, Golbez is always represented through our WoL. Also, to answer Sphoie. We are supposed to know who Golbez is since last patch, but not our characters. They did not see anything to infer that until they saw Golbez's memories. BTW. sooo many FFIV characters and references in these patches. Hope you play it. You'll get mindblown by the references FFXIV picked up.

  3. Soken's remix of these classics were mindblowing. Both themes originally come from FF IV. The switch to the phase 2 music was followed by Zeromus unleashing an attack called "Nostalgia". That was a bit of an inside joke as we IV vets were indeed crushed by nostalgia. Also, I'm glad you touched on one thing. FF XIV is very good at making sympathetic villains. And props to Golbez' voice actor. You could hear the pain in his voice in that Echo flashback. He failed, so close to the finish line. He was breaking. And then Zero's VA providing a calming voice. The two of them in that scene just… chef's kiss

  4. I think the imagery of Zeros transformation is interesting as well. The Scythe represented the Darkness inside of her, and then when she unleashed her light after it broke, it became more like a cane a Shepherd would use.

  5. They truly did both Zeromus and its battle theme fulll justice in this game. As a massive fan of Final Fantasy IV for most of my life this was the fight I was waiting for THE MOST when they started doing tribute stuff to FFIV. When I saw the 3D model that was TRULY faithful to the sprite and heard the music, which was INCREDIBLY on-point while offering some new bits, I just couldn't stop smiling!

  6. Sophie, for WHM the "lithurgie of the bell" is perfect for the multiple hit stacks or bleeding because it heals for great amounts for every hit (five times). both WHM used their's. it males healing a lot easier in these specific scenarios.
