My tin pot theory is they didn't give Viera hats on purpose. We'd be to good otherwise. The devs had to give other races a chance.

Tall and cute noses was what sold me on Viera when I chose between them and Miqo'te.
If Viera could wear hats I'd fantasia tomorrow.

The height, big ears, and faces won me over. I started as Miqo'te for the free trial, but it didn't feel right in cutscenes. Every time I saw a Viera I felt it in my heart T.T, so by lvl 10 I bought up to ShB + fantasia to be a viera and have stayed a bun since <3
How about why to play Elezen? A pipe dream I know but Giraffes could use some representation to make them less legendary haha.
