  1. I just started black mage in PVP last night and it felt pretty broken lol. I'm not sure if these changes will be enough, but not being able to deep freeze people as often is a decent nerf.

I am surprised that summoner got a buff also, but we'll see how games play out with the overall changes.

  2. I already read the patch notes but I just wanted to hear your excitement for PvP as I had! I've been maining mostly Machinist outside of tanking in CC and man its so fun when played well. Lots of potential and Marksman Spite always feels good to land a kill with.

  3. Datacenter travel is huge for me in EU. I am in a large FC across all worlds, and we often want to do FC events but "need" alts to do events. With DC travel we will have an even larger pool for raid teams and will try (server depending) to join the Crawler's Rejoining Party 🙂

  4. I'm playing in the JP Data Center. If we also have the ability to buy from other Data Center's marketboard just like when we are traveling to other servers then Sakaguchi here I come!

  5. I think the Limit Break gauge adjustment actually applies to the current rank of the three teams : since Frontline is a 24v24v24 PvP game mode, it would make sense that the Limit Break gauge of members of the team in last place charge faster while the gauge of members of the team in first place charges slower. Coupled with that, the Battle High bonus rewards a significant bonus to damage, most often turning Dragoons into orbital nukes at Battle High V

  6. Disappointed to see more and more nerfs to BLMs as i was starting to enjoy actually playing pvp. Removal of the 2 stacks of paradox made BLMs unfun again and now make them more easily instant killed by making them more squishy :/

  7. Me: -Works third shift.
-Clocks out at 6AM EST. Which is the exact time the maintenance begins.
-Realizes has to wait the full 24 hours (or more if they need it)
    -Feels bad, man.

Ah, well. Time to dust off RimWorld again. Maybe Factorio or Timberborn.

  8. Why is every job in PVP getting buffs except BRD? Is BRD SUPPOSED to be pathetically weak or something? Everyone else has WAY more powerful movesets…BRD is only effective at range, and even at full range it's STILL weak, wtf…

  9. We are what, 4? 5? Patches into FF vs WoW 1 Patch and waiting for expansion. How many more patches you think we will get before WoW comes out with their expansion release?

  10. I've been on break since finishing the MSQ. Been waiting for the cross data center play to come back. Looking forward to returning. It's been a long 6 months. Super excited!

  11. when everyone talks about what happens to players deranking but what happens to those who are 5 risers or lower worth of rank… do they unrank or just get basement bronzed?

  12. I remember when you were covering shadowlands tanks in the beta. Now the biggest difference I've noticed is that you aren't so upset about changes in classes and aren't so stressed. Keep up the good work.

  13. Can others tell my why everyone is waiting for DC travel? For me, my friends dont play the game and my FC is on my DC so i dont know why is should need it.
First i thought that, if i search for a party, i can find players from the other DC but i need to travel there.

If i get something wrong, please correct me and sorry for maybe bad english. xD

  14. Quazii you are a breath of fresh air. You are always on top of the news for FFXIV. I think I speak for alot of FFXIV players when I say we greatly appreciate all your hard work and the things you do for this game. We love you man.

  15. For Pvp I honestly hoped they would change up cloud 9 map, since it doesn't have any bit of flanking potential.

As a BLM main, they honestly need to give fire mages a bit of incentive, since I never have a chance to use it. The extra cc on ice mage saves so many of my teammates.

  16. as a drk player i really appreciate the added ko power/consistency we have on spiller and eventide

as a nin player the seiton tenchu extension nerf was entirely deserved lmao 8 seconds is more than enough time to get multikills

i don't understand the ast nerf though especially when war still has an aoe stun and whm is still Like That. they have got to do something about miracle of nature because it's downside of "doesn't affect guarding enemies" is barely a downside because the times when WHM players use it makes that detail not really matter. i feel like resilience should deny Miracle so it does not work as a free extension to disables

  17. As a BLM main in PVP, i would say BLM nerf and buff in 6.18 are good ideas. A little bit less tanky but has more use for Ice rather than spamming 3 Umbral Ice albeit 1s less duration. Now BLM can easily CC people for 2s without Paradox. Heavy, Bind, and Deep Freeze based on Ice stack is a very good and reasonable idea.

I want them to do this with Fire as well.

  18. I mean… where are all the skill and outplay in this… i mean i got to crystal rank as bard and scholar… but lets be real its not about skill but about who can get their limit break first, the limit break system needs adjustments and its not fun to play against machinists and ninja's who just one shot you for existing with no counter play… why are we focusing on useless stuff rather than hit the actual stuff that breaks Crystaline Conflict…for example ninjas who can break guard? I mean cmon… white mages with aoe stuns and healing with their limit breaks… they are hitting the actual thing that's barely gonna do anything….

  19. Looks like most of the updates here are PvP related. It's not really my thing, so it's not likely to lure me back just yet. I'm still waiting on the 6.2 patch for some good wholesome PvE content to digest. Having new data servers will be useful though, as will cross-server travel.

  20. LOL. I had said that BLM should have variable debuffs for deepfreeze based on stacks. Glad to see that. Deepfreeze was actually busted af.

I hope they add more buffs to DRK in terms of their tanking abilities. Salted Earth is imo really bad.
They should either double the size of the aoe where the DRK gets the mitigation or have the aoe follow the DRK and apply some kind of debuff to enemies where DRK heals like 2 or 4k per hit on enemies.

  21. As a pvp BLM, and i have just play BLM this pvp season series, i can say idk about the shield nerf, but that 2 stacks bind is just *chef kiss*, dont mind me then stacking freeze now lmao.

  22. Worth mentioning is one of the resolved issues is pretty important: Miracle of Nature was apparently negating Frontline damage reduction. If anyone had a feeling "Gosh, I keep dying while imped without getting to do anything", this really exacerbated an extremely frustrating ability. Will still hate playing against it, but this will feel much more fair after the patch. Especially for melee.

  23. I really hope the data travel center helps the raiding scene in FFXIV. Boy Hunt trains are going to be insane now as well, going to interesting to see if new discords pop up or if the predominate ones are going to expand.
