see the thing is my mom was already really established into mmos and so whenever cata came around her and my dad we're asking me to play wow with them legit just to stand there for their dungeons and for their mount runs I legit traded ashes to my dad at fucking 8 years old

My wife and I started playing FF14 at the same time, and we unanimously agreed on our main roles: I'd be the tank and she'd be the healer. I love playing tank and she loves playing healer, so I think it's easy to understand. But I think many tanks want someone they personally know to be a healer. Who do you trust more than a family or a true friend to help you out?
This is why vanilla WoW up to 3.3.5 got so big.
You could invite your grandma and she could play it. And it was still making sense. Easy to play, hard to master.
After that, in Cataclysm, the game shifted towards extremes on both ends. Extremely childish, joking, basic and boring at start, while being impossible, unrewarding and grindy at the end. And it got worse later.

My brother and sister said to me when I was in school and I had nothing to do on vacation that I could use their accounts to farm the Frostwolf back then when you needed the tokens from alterac, warsong and arathi. Well … I got them their mounts and me a new account to play on for 14 years. Was a good time and looking at wow now I am kinda sad it ended but if they don't know how to make a good mmo then I don't want to stay to find out.

My son at 8 years old asked me to play Runescape with him. I had never played any video games before. Since then, we've played WoW and recently moved on to Ffxiv. It was great during his teenage years and communication with us has always been open and great. Now we discuss Lost Ark đ and yes, I've been the healer đ
