Great. I started leveling a Bard for a possible main in endwalker. If bard is the least popular then that’s the class I will be playing. It’s the reason why I chose monk.. it was the least popular.

Haha that Dragoon ranking is hilarious. I personally love Dragoon. The jumps are so fun and the rotation is easy.

For the positionals topic you brought up, one thing I try to do is put rear positionals on middle buttons and flank positions on side buttons if that makes sense. Helps me keep track while I'm learning the abilities. Unfortunately it's not the best for all jobs so it would be nice to have some indicator otherwise. Maybe something the dev team could do is update positional action icons to indicate them in some way.
I've only heard about how good Bard is expected to be/feel next expansion compared to present Bard.

I think Bard is underrated. It really flies when you get the hang of it at 80. The changes are going to be pretty dope. Now that Summoners don't have DOTs I know I'll miss it so I'll be playing bard more often. But yeah leveling bard is rough though
Dragoon is best job ever
As a bard main, it depresses me to know how little the community appreciates us.
It's kinda funny, when I started FFXIV I had no desire to ever play BRD, even to the point of boosting it just to unlock Performance. Now it's the only DPS I enjoy playing, the management of DoT's, Songs, and Procs makes it feel alive compared to other Job's set rotations.
I've mained BRD since 2.0 and it's still my main. I love the versatility of being mobile while providing support and, in some cases, dps so good mobs start targeting me. BRD feels pretty solid at Lv80.
So, their only reason for ranking sage that low is because they worry about how bad players are going to play it? Really?
Sage is gonna be Cid tier by the raid.
So I haven't finished the video yet but…..how is is that Bard, who increases the damage of the entire party almost indefinitely in fights via songs, has little to no practically no damage fall off on all it's spammable AoEs (only 1 to 2 skills have any fall off from what I can recall), even more damage for the party via Radiant Finale, and strong burst phases get a C – F ranking, but AST which has: 1. Lost Redraw charges, 2. Lost Sleeve Draw so cards are 100% random now so it'll be harder to get seals and 3. Now has a lackluster 50 skill that was ruined because of the RNG increase gets an S – A????? I love you guys at WTG but come on, that's ridiculous

Chris's description of Monk is how I felt about Dragoon. 70-80 was really fun, but that slow drip of skills killed all the fun so I got the job stone at 30 and bought the skip.

BRD got a big nerf when squenix made it against tos to play third party music…or most ff songs

Dark Knight would rank as S in my opinion if Living Dead was changed. Otherwise, the class is as solidly strong as it currently is in Shadowbringers. And Dragoon in F tier for Floor is definitely good. lol
