Sad you ended right before the best part.
I missed the stream 🥲. Pretty surprised you know Pizza Hut in the Philippines 😀
19:02 — Ahm Areng and the city Nabath Areng, where the Alisea quests were, is Thanalan and Ul'dah respectively while Kolusia is La Noscea and Eulmore is Limsa.
40:22 — Bahamut was stopped but he did cause considerate damage before being defeated. That alone seemed to be enough: it was a catastrophe of unprecedented scale. And, yes, another shard, an entire world, was anialated in the process.
47:34 — Yeah, buts thats lalas for you: unless they are ancient, there is no way to tell their age – and thats even lore accurate XD Also, dont give too much about age in this game. The devs are purposefully vague about it. Point in fact is: we dont know. We only have estimates and guesswork. Even the way time flows isnt really disclosed: you'd think between us starting the game in ARR all the way to DT would be at least two or three years, maybe more. But no: the Calamity (the Bahamut one) is always referred to as being five years ago. So yeah, dont believe it when people say, character x is y years old; the only thing you might say is that one character is somewhat older than another.
53:50 … Thats… literally what buns look like irl XD
1:02:25 — They canceled support for PS3 with Stormblood release.
1:52:05 — Thats why I make an effort to always build a bathroom in my house – and failing that due to slot restrictions (cottages are a pain…) I put a bathhouse in my garden ^.^
2:49:10 — Many say, Ali's quests punch you in the gut, but Alphis quests… lemme put it this way: their punch comes delayed.
In case someone didn't let you know, a more recent example of Dulia Chai's VA's prior work you may have been familiar with is Yotsuyu's mother in the prior expansion.
Yo caff did you get the easter egg with those blue and red jesters? It’s a reverence to Zorn and Thorn jesters in ff9.
49:20 Yeah, this could be mistaken for something else, especially once Alphi comes in and the bloke's reaction. It's almost like
Bloke: "Hey hot stuff!"
Alphi: "Leave my mom/dad alone!"
Bloke: "You got a kid? I'm outa here." ^^
"Light" and "Dark" are not good and evil. They are just elements, like fire, water, earth, air, cold and lightning. Well… not entirely, there is a little difference, which will be explained later in Shadowbringers, but the point is still the same. They are just forces of nature, neither good nor evil, not even sentient in any way. They are no more good or bad, than a gale of wind, or a stream in a river. Both can be benefitial or destructive in equal measure.
The reason why so far dark was associated with bad, is because our main antagonists – the Ascians – are associated with darkness, but they aren't evil because they use dark magic nor do the use dark magic because they are evil. They just so happen to be evil people who also use dark magic.
If the player picks Black Mage, Dark Knight or Red Mage, they are using dark magic and still do good. And the Warriors of Darkness had a White Mage and a Paladin and were still doing bad things in the Source (albeit for understandable, if misguided reasons).
