When you playing an instance with NPCs, usually they are using initial class like Gladiator, Conjurer, Lancer etc. Because most of the jobs are extremely rare, only handful of people learn or allowed to use the arts. Even essential character to the story like Ryne is still a rogue, because the one who teach her -Thancred is a rogue, not a Ninja before he switch to gunbreaker in Shadowbringers and I think Ninja also non existence in Norvrandt.

    Unrelated note; knowing what we do about how aether & such works as of ShB makes corruption by magic make a lot of sense, actually and is a detail I hope we see expanded upon further.

  3. The Helm of Light and Baby Behemoth Minion was available to all 2.0 Players, not just 1.0 Players.

    Also, there are no millions WoLs running around, there is only one, the Player, who is unique in each Player's game. It's like saying there are millions Yshtolas running around.

  4. One extra fact, when I played it when it first came out on ps3 till the shutdown in 2017, the community was so toxic and rude that it ruined the overall experience for me, but the game was really good when I played by myself. Sad fact sorry

  5. Didn't know that stuff about the Goobue War. That's pretty cool. I was just thinking about going back through ARR with New Game+, and now I have something else to look out for when I do. Thx, guys!

  6. ^^ I am proud to have my real name in the credits of ARR, and my character wears his tramp stamp with pride XD (the lifetime discount is sweet too)

    One thing that's worth pointing out about 14, is while it was made by the same 2 individuals and as a successor to FF11, the roles reversed and I believe that was one of the biggest reasons it failed miserably.

    FFXI was directed by Tanaka and it was for all intents and purposes, his baby. Komoto directed 14, and I dunno if it was just creative differences or what but he really botched it.

    There are still aspects of 1.0 I genuinely liked and miss, though a lot of them actually came from Yoshida around 1.17 and onward and I'm still miffed he got rid of them but it's whatever at this point (I've actually been banned from the official forums because of a thread I started about it around the time of patch 2.1 I think).

    sigh I love 14, excited for EW but I do wish they hadn't abandoned the good elements they took from 11.
