  1. Only looking at RDPS is a very flawed way of ranking jobs. NDPS and ADPS are usually considerably better but both should be looked at when determining rankings like these. Black mage, Machinist Ninja and Dragoon prob needs minor buffs, Sum/red mage have resses so they aught to be S++ tier for anything raid related except speed kills, In terms of healing. Scholar and Astro are able to solo heal because of their exceptionally strong toolkits, Sage has the most fun rotation but ended up lacking a bit in ther DPS department and White mage can heal with lillies without losing potency. Sage with White mage in A tier, Astro deserves S alone because of their incredibly powerful kit with Scholar in A+. Phys ranged wise I'd take Dancer or Bard and put them in A tier, machinist in B tier. Machinists damage is great but Phys range is never picked for damage and their damage reduction skill requires a target. Tank wise, Paladin and Gunbreaker S+ tier. They're both so powerful defensively. Paladin has lower DPS but I'm suspecting Pala + Dark knight to get minor potency adjustments. Dark knight is probably the one that feels the worst from EW to DT while also being one of the most frail tanks, F tier (kidding but they're by far the worst tank. at least they have the second lowest CD on their invuln… but it's the only one that actually carries risks).

  2. 😂 this guy daid Picto needs a nerf😂 the job just came out, it's fine. That's the problem with ffxiv, everyone wants everything to be even, then what's the point of having different jobs?

  3. they need to nerf picto its silly as much as i enjoy the class its way too strong only buffing other classes is not the way it would throw off the whole balance if theyd just buff everyone to pictos dmg lol

  4. I would argue that bard is a tier with dnc/mch b tier, Nature's minnue is woefully underrated and it just does way more dmg than the other two.

    Also knight actually has a lot of mitigation, tbn continues to be a great absorb that just synergizes very well with mit and dark mind is just an amazing cooldown when magical tank busters are present, than theres living dead being a great invuln, being the 2nd lowest cooldown, and most of the time you can outheal the thresh hold that would kill you, plus you can pop it early as its real duration dont start until you take fatal dmg. Im sorry but you dont really understand dark knight

  5. imo AST should be S tier, 2 Light speed charges, best healer damage, several mits for a Regen healer. Perfect for prog, perfect for parse, perfect for speeds, it's by far the best healer in the game

  6. I’m sorry but saying picto needs an nerf is just wrong picto is just fine where it is I really don’t want this game to be like wow and nerf every class that is the top dps I’m sorry but instead of nerfing picto they could buff every other class not to mention picto is fine right now

  7. The more I make the joke that every role should have the exact same abilities with the exact same damage output the more I begin to believe it.

    Single Target/AoE 1-2-3
    Buff
    Defensive

    Then you pick what you like based on job aesthetic.

    Of course, that will never happen, nor will my dream of removing healing from tanks (Warrior has been busted forever), so I'd rather see DPS buffed rather than nerfed. I fear if they turn the Picto's hammer on itself, they'll hit it too hard.

  8. I will never believe that Pictomancer is somehow broken. After all, I know that broken classes always take EX+, and the S level is intended for normal classes, and everything below S is garbage that needs to be strengthened so that they can be raised to the S level. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  10. I got criticized in my FC chat for saying that PCT currently invalidates all other magical dps besides RDM raises. The "all jobs are viable" motif is a goal but not always true. Right now PCT makes the others less viable, and trying to say it doesn't makes the pressure to nerf it less powerful.

  11. GNB is so squishy….. I loathe healing them during trash pulls. Whether people are playing them "wrong" is moot if for most people if thats the actual experience at the end of the day. Cant do much about other people's skills lol.

  12. I love that we all, as a community, even the Reaper Mains, hate Death's Design. Please Yoshi-P, just get rid of it. All the other Melee get their damage buffs from their basic 1-2-3 combos, why does reaper need a full GCD for theirs?

Agreed… DRK just causes me tears at this point, dont even have the cool animation of plunge to console me anymore; new skills are ok, good visual, but minor difference, and just playing any other tank feels better – GNB really done right, so swapping to that. Picto is clearly busted and as a BLM enjoyer I love how the class plays now but yeah the numbers need some adjustment maybe

  14. You're absolutely wrong about DRK. It's absolute dog shit, and no amount of "dmg" is going to help it; at this point it needs a complete rework. Just play WaR or GnB if you're a serious progger. PLD's mitigation however is some of the best, while cover is still a dog shit mechanic.

    Selfish Melee for prog go VpR or SaM, for support Melee MnK or DrG. Unless they nerf PcT hard it's an absolute lock in progging for magic, and I'd either go as BrD or DnC for ranged support.

  15. Picto doesn't need nerfed. Sounds like you have a chip on your shoulder. Looking at real time numbers, tanks are outdamaging them. A common fight of newer folks is get to Tender or Slo, watch everyone in the group die, come back from the front to watch the tank soloing the boss. That's GNB, Warrior and DRK…. on a consistent basis. Tanks are the champs of dungeons, hands down… not Picto's Starry or 10% group bubble when everything is oneshot mechanics if they're missed. If one were to look at the damage, tanks are beating out DPS and heals….. Healers are beating out dps (SGE) and dps is floor meat. Your 1000ft view is still macro with this tier list. Folks are starting to talk like WoW players with Tier rankings and dps charts.

  16. Putting bard in A= basically just because phys ranges lower relative damage is wack. It's pretty damn peak in it's current state and it's only gonna get better in raids as people get BiS that scales better with it's kit.

    This entire tier list just reads like someone reading an FFLOGS chart though to be honest.

  17. I'm only going to comment on what I've taken to 100 so far, which is War, Drk, Picto, drg, and rdm.

    I will say this, I was surprised when rdm started pulling ahead of smn, as rdm has been at the bottom for some time now when it comes to magical DPS. Over all, rdm feels better, but I think they really need to get rid of the rez tax stipulation hanging over it all the time. As in, just because it can help to recover isn't a good reason to keep its damage where they have for the last 3 expansions now.

    Picto is insanely strong if you get into the flow of using its kit, just hands down way too strong at the moment. Picto, is almost like a version of war with how some of its dmg spells work being direct critical hits on top of insanely high potency of abilities (1000-1400) and their gauge spells are 780-880, instant cast spells that are 520-880. It just feels like they really wanted people to like Picto a little to much to the point they made it massively over powered.

    War, is also in a very strong position as it sits for the time being. Crazy self sustain and still relatively strong output in the tank side of things.

    Drk has some things I like, and others I absolutely do not like. The fact they combined blood weapon with delirium without really adjusting for the fact blood weapon was 5 stack and is now 3 stack causing a loss in not only gauge generation when used but also about 1 ogcd worth of mp return. It feels like an unintentional dmg nerf, and I would really like to see them change the last remains of Magical Damage mit of HW era to a more useful mit, or even sustain option when it comes to Dark Mind (IE gains Heal pot increase when used similar to the enhanced rampart). While Vigilant isn't bad, it doesn't scale with HP. It is just a 1200 pot HP restoration that either triggers when you drop below 50% or effect expires. I would rather see this scale with HP% (IE returns ~30-40% HP if hp drops below 50% or effect expires).

    Drg feels like it lost something when they removed a couple actions and in turn gave it a gap closer with no dmg. I don't play Drg enough to comment more than this, but it feels like it needs something that is now missing from the over all kit.

  18. This list feels like a preference piece rather than actually understanding how each job fits in the current meta and even then we dont have enough information to work with outside of the EX.

    Until Savage drops and we get more data samples to collect, we can only speculate based on how each job performs on the most basic level.

    I do not get the whole point of using fflog rdps as a metric to compare each job with another when it has always been the case that phy ranged are never going to have a higher rdps than most melee or caster jobs excluding a select few and that is quite normal.

    I do agree that MCH is not in the spot at the moment, but BRD seems to be fine.

    DNC do need a few potency increase to help it catch up with the other phy ranged, but by no means are they bad.

    I feel like you cannot compare the top rdps jobs like SAM, PICTO and etc with a phy ranged and call them shit. That is like trying to tell me that a BRD should hit as hard as a SAM but because it doesn't, it is garbage.

  19. It’s crazy how I’ve seen so many of these tier lists and how inconsistent everyone’s seems to be. To summarize this for the few that read these comments, don’t take these lists too seriously. If you do enough (barely) digging then you will come across many tier lists of varying results. Play what’s fun, all jobs are feasible and can be universally for all contents. SE ain’t perfect by no means but they are obsessive about keeping things as balanced as possible and everyone is still breaking into the new lv100 jobs. Picto I’ve seen at the top of tier lists and as low as 5th; my friend who uses forbidden software to gage his damage has noted he’s seen picto top and bottom on the charts.

    Play what you like or what class flows the best for you. RPR is another one who’s flopping like a fish on these charts as well so I’d take these with a healthy amount of salt. I main DRG, whose placements on these lists have been actually consistent, but according to the forbidden software I’m usually in the top 2-3 in terms of damage and that’s against picto, viper, and reaper as well. It’s in how you play and how often you floor tank.

  20. Unpopular opinion but id rather them buff the other caster and not be so quick to nerf picto. Not a picto or caster main, but def a lot of people in my prog group that leveled it already and are invested lol

  21. Warrior needs to be nerfed, either in healing or damage derpatment but it has too. personally I would nerf it's damages. I think warrior should sit at bottom of tanks in damage department if it's gonna have so much healing that it can solo stuffs.
