  2. Added this to my watch list and will probably watch it multiple times, thank you for making! Melee dps is a real struggle for me, I'm almost done levelling everything to 90 and I'm left with monk (66) dragoon (74) and ninja (53) and they are such an uphill battle for me compared to the other jobs.

I want to like at least a couple of them but I find them really tough. In my opinion it's quite comfortably the hardest role because you have such little wriggle room before you've dropped off a ton. I main the healers and find it's so much less stress. Maybe only physical ranged beats it for ease.

  3. Hi, i've been watching your videos for a while and they're great, I really like them, but a complain I have is that I think your voice sounds a bit low? I think you could up the volume of your voice a little bit, otherwise, great video as always

  4. Always frustrating (no matter my role) when a DPS takes aggro and just… stands there and fights the mob one on one. It happens so often and they just end up on the floor rooms away from the group until the current pack is dead instead of respawning.

There are def ways to survive having too much aggro (bloodbath is great for survival if the tank goes down for some reason), but the best thing to do is just… run over into the tank's AOEs.

  5. Another note on limit breaks (though this is a DPS tip in general and not just melee): in alliance raids I see a lot of people surprised to find out that it almost always resets the moment you get on a miniboss/boss, so it should be either used on the boss that you were building it up on or magic/ranged should use it on the trash between bosses, else it's just a waste. There's always that one trigger happy tank, so saving it for the final boss of the raid will often end up in a gauge being emptied before the LB fires.

Also also, if there are raid buffs being properly timed it CAN be a DPS loss for certain melee jobs to use the LB instead of bursting appropriately on time. Making sure you have your resources ready to burst and then using it instead of filler GCD's is the way to avoid a sad time on your next burst window… and using it DURING your burst window is definitely gonna be a sad time.

Final note I'd like to make: If someone says "LB" they're usually talking about the melee LB, so if that's you then pull the trigger lol
