  1. If you are putting SMN in S tier, then RDM deserves that too. They have similar dps,RDM can rez more, both have a lot of instant spells and both have similar movement,RDM maybe even more because he has both charge and jumping away skills, and both have raid buffs. So imo,a bit unfair, even if you are biased towards SMN.

  2. Whoa whoa Dark knight S and Warrior B, do you even tank, i do and i love playing both but i would never ever main tank as Dark Knight in savage or Ultimate and would choose warrior any day, too reliant on healers GCDs and just lacking defensively in casual content then yes Dark Knight is fun to main tank but for me Warrior easy S and Dark Knight easy B. In fact go into any fight as a warrior say youre gonna off tank and see how main "???" Or "wtf" you get

  4. Given that you can't really know what to expect with the differences between Normal and Savage raids, I personally feel like it's a bit too early to go with any sort of rankings just yet. Overall, I would say that there aren't any major discrepancies in the balance at the moment but I expect we'll see an additional balancing patch come out at or before 6.25. Really, the only thing that surprised me is how much they buffed the other jobs while leaving Reaper alone and somewhat left behind. It's not doing poorly, mind you, but as the new hotness for the expansion I expected it to stay on top for longer. I will say that Ninja is benefiting greatly from having its power moved a little away from the group and more into itself.

  5. Feels kind of early to consign Black Mages to mediocrity. When timing, positioning, and practice are so key, and the normal fights have only been out for like 5 days? I myself go into every new fight blind expecting to die a couple times just learning mechanics & movement patterns, let alone when I can drop a leylines. I won't be surprised in the least when average BLM performance looks way better in a couple weeks.

  6. So I'm confused, I don't get how leveling a summoner also levels a scholar, I get that Arcanist goes into both but that's only until level 30 right? So if you say got your summoner to level 90 but then switched to scholar wouldn't your scholar just be level 30?

  7. I am a SMN main and I love the job but because of their terribly low dps I think they should be much lower. Yeah they can be tacky with the carbuncle shield but in savage content it’s not that useful plus I don’t think most SMN’s even bother using their shields. Yes SMN have a raise but with their new job work, it’s way harder to find a great time to raise in your rotation plus RDM are now the king of raising anyways. Even before the patch I thought SMN needed some buffing so you can imagine my frustration to see that nearly every other job got a freaking buff. I would put SMN right next to BLM. Since they have removed nearly all job difficulty, I no longer believe job difficulty should be a factor in tier lists.

  8. Imagine putting out a tier list before the current patch savage even comes out to test anything…

As a side note, you need roles of every job in the group in order to achieve the 5% party buff. So, why is S tier devoid of melees, ranged, and healers? This makes no sense whatsoever. The tier list should at least be balanced and divided across the roles… As a result this tier list even with some baseline game knowledge seems incredibly misguided.

  9. I really dislike tierlists in a game like FFXIV. It is DESIGNED to be beaten with any combination of jobs, and encourages bringing 8 unique jobs to a raid. There isn't even a point of ranking the jobs like this with that in mind. What does S rank even mean for SMN if I can bring a party without one and still clear all content? Why even make the comparison? You can play whatever you want in this game an accomplish everything. The logs pull from the top 5% of players (those who achieve 95% orange parses in raids), which by definition excludes most players. If the average person is not performing at this level, the rankings don't matter. If I get a summoner in my PF party that has terrible mechanics and dies constantly, they are not S tier, they are dead. If you complete a fight with no deaths, you can have 4 samurais. It doesn't matter.

Play what you find fun and play it well. This video only serves to mislead those who don't do any deeper research. Maybe put (opinion) in the title for clarity.

  10. As tank main I disagree with WAR placement. Imo WAR should be on A tier becasue many tank players that parse on GNB or DRK are progging on WAR as he is the safest most sustainable tank and he can off-set healers death or mistakes. Also while you seem to rank tanks only based on savage raids/ultimates – the fact is there is no better tank than WAR for doing dungeons, first-time-ever trials/raids etc. DRK and GNB are obviously better once you know content since then DPS > self heal as your healers also know content. They also still have best invul and I think all those things count.

So I would definitely put WAR on A tier with GNB, S tier DRK and B tier Paladin. Sadly Paladin is in bad spot right now in my opinion becasue he has no "niche". Even as off tank he is not that good anymore since any tank now can be amazing off-tank with their damage mitigation skills that they can cast on others. DRK is your full damage tank with med-busy rotation, GNB is your busy-tank for people who like that style and WAR is your prog/safe/immortal/off-healer tank that don't have to worry about anything. PLD on the other hand is…. well, range-rotation might seem like niche but in 9/10 cases it never really matters. If that whole rotation was melee – it wouldn't really change anything. And Cover still suck balls.

  11. i'm sorry but you honestly think the 4 seconds of nerf on LS will make DRK and GNB fight for top 1 dps? rlly? besides the 50 potency buffs to ALL of esteems attacks including shadowbringer? well i'll be damned, because my DPS has only increased after 6.2 even before i got my crafted gear, the 2 less skills Esteem casts are less dps then a 50 potency buff to every other skill it does cast lmao

  12. I think that PLD is underrated atleast in progging harder content. The amount of times ive saved healers/last rezzer availble with cover or intervention, or even worst case scenario clemency, which led to an lb3 or clear on babrbarricia is astounding

  13. Warrior and Paladin in the same tier is enough evidence to know that this list is not worth watching. DRK and SMN the only two jobs in S tier (when SMN definitely does not belong there over other DPS jobs) really makes me question what makes you think you qualify to make a tier list at all. Putting this information out there when there are new, impressionable players is what steers this game in the wrong direction.

  14. Bard I just feel like is massively overwhelming to play. It's so much busy work all the while having to really stare at the action bars for procs and such. I never cared for the dots or the way music is handled either. Dot based classes just feel like yet another reason to stare at UI elements as opposed to the gameplay, and it's not something I'm a fan of when I can avoid it.

The music side on bard I wish was ability based instead of cooldowns. You know, you enter a fight and start playing music automatically. You then choose which buff to provide as you generate resources. Something like chanters from Pillars of Eternity. The way it's handled right now is a lot of extra work that changes based on the song you're playing and it's a lot to keep up with — too much in my opinion. New procs happening during songs on top of the procs you're already getting. Layer on using oGCD damaging abilities based on what has procced too. I'm happy that folks can handle that, but I can't imagine there's too many really playing it close to 100% correctly.

The other ranged are a lot less complex, but yep there's still procs involved. Dancer at least is pretty straightforward and I found it an order of magnitude easier to play than bard even despite being proc heavy. I'd personally take a dancer along every time instead just because something easier to play is going to allow for more focus on mechanics.

  15. I main tank and I simply love playing paladin, but I always feel sad to see that it never gets any significant dmg buffs, and it always feels like its left behind the other tanks. The last few buffs have only been an increase for Blade of Faith/Truth/Valor, and never an increase in the normal weaponskills/fillers.. Which have made me start playing DK for higher end content instead of playing what I really want, simply for that reason.

  16. Man every single patch you rush to upload a horrible tierlist that always has incorrect/incomplete information, u always get more dislikes than likes but you keep on doing it just cause tier lists = easy views, pretty sad tbh

  17. Summoner might be ok if they didn’t absolutely BLIND the party with half of their skills.. i had 3 in a raid that cycled their earth primal skill and it was a light show mess..

  18. How is leveling two jobs at the same time Summoners power factor in 6.2? I don’t get how is it going to make my Savage prog any easier. Also, are we really forgetting RDM’s chain reviving capabilities?
