We had early access to Steam Deck and wanted to show a few games, like Final Fantasy 14 running on this handheld. Audio is from the speaker to give viewers an idea of the sound quality of the system. This Final Fantasy 14 gameplay is from an early-level character around level 10 and on a new account. We used the controller functionality for FF14, but as some have asked we tested if you could use the touch screen for menus and you can. However, it is much better if you plug in a keyboard and mouse to play that way.

Annnnnd thats how you get me to buy FFXIV again
dem bezels tho
Hmm, how will it handle a raid though, with all those spells and abilities going off, will it slow down? Or maybe going too limsa when it's packed with players 🤔
TAKE MY MONEY
Can Non-Steam FFXIV users play FFXIV through steamdeck? If so how?
I've heard it works through linux, but is it hard to set up the FFXIV launcher(non-steam) via steamdeck?
if only valve have the production capabilities of the like nintendo switch
oh no…
Only if it had a OLED screen
Brilliant so tempting
what settings?
which os. windows 10/11 or steam os?
Did they show the other 23 minutes before the battery died? 😄
Finally.
On the Go Final Fantasy XIV.
Ill wait for the revised version of this one.. the design is still to bulky and a bit heavy but the gameplay omg switch feels ancient compared to this device😅
Settings and framerate matter.
Wonder how it would handle a raid situation
One Xplayer also doing well with great graphics but only last for one hr around without plugging in
Is this the steam version or Windows version? It's an important distinction.
You are a very fast reader just like me.
shut up and take my facking money!
this handheld is ultra beast. ps3 emulator is a piece of cake, 3ds, nintendo switch emu, ps2, ppsspp, ds, snes, android emu, AAA pc games holy dhick all in one package
How does it hold up going to Limsa Lominsa ?🤔
Now I’m eager to see someone using the Steam Deck to run a endgame hard raid.
Well now I'll never look up again.
Im go ahead and say this. In 90$ baby that grew up on the SEGA Game Gear & this is the Modern version of Goatness. The OLED version needs a Borderless screen when it drops. I'm so glad a market for Handheld PC has opened up. PSP was suppose to last way longer but with STEAM the longevity of Steam Deck will last years so long as they take a huge jump in hardware with Steam Deck 2 onward. It is a must that Devs capitalize on hitting 2k 120 fps in handheld that would revolutionize gaming. Console shift would be inevitable at that point
2 minutes later the batter went flat
So steam invented the psvita ? Granted the vita does it with remote play but the end result is the same.
Well done Valve!
Man, crafting in bed with this sounds so comfy
Overlay please, with a test of average battery duration and FPS counter, please show the graphics settings too, this, as is, its not even barebones information, yeah, it runs, but it runs too on my athlon 860k with 16Gb of ram and a gt 740 2gb ddr5 and manjaro with kde plasma.
We want more info.
its so bulky o.o
It's the Steam version or the Square version?
Curious to see how typing/text works. Would it be similar to the ps version with a controller? But yes, this is awesome!
omgggggggggggggggggggg
So cool
wonder if there is a way to make it run WoW
Okay but that's base game, show me modded with gshade
This has sold me on the device
Can it run lost ark?
If you will need it all the time conected no thanks 🤣🤣🤣🤣👎🏻
