  1. Fun tip My friend(which is no long my friend i promise) has a mod that added ragdoll physics to when humanoids(enemies and allies) die that throws the body with an added overwatch kill sound effect. So you can imagine how fun an alliance wipe would look. An im totally not a healer main 😅. Of course that was him, im clean i swear.😊

  3. Not sure if you covered it before in another video, as a YT video is how I learned this, but adding an emote to a hotbar as a caster while learning slide cast timing. While casting, if the emote is darkened, you can’t move. Once it lights up again, you can move. Neat visual aid while learning.

  4. As a SMN I was doing Tower at 'Paradigm's Breach' and I have a macro that does a party wide rez attempt (Basically it casts Swiftcast then attempts to rez the tank then each healer in turn then the DPS) and me and one of the healers kept taking turns to rez the other healer until I told them about the immunity and advised them to wait until they were healed up by the other healer or big heal themselves, the other healer's reaction was simply " ^ ". I think that this should be on the tool tip.

  5. This is a great video! A lot of these tips I haven't seen on youtube before (a lot of guides just repeat the same ones).

A quick note: not all effects of attacks will be negated with Transcendent. Notably, there are quite a few knockbacks that will still affect players with the buff, so if you raise at the wrong time, you may still die again anyway even without breaking Transcendent. This is most important in higher level content where there are DPS checks, so if you know a fight, always consider the next mechanic that's about to go off before you decide to take the res immediately. 🙂

  6. Reaper also has a party wide protection. Arcane Crest, typically used to shield yourself in a hit for 10% less damage to yourself. But if it's used (you get smacked by said enemy hard enough to break it) it activates it will give you and anyone near you in your party to gain some self-healing. (its very short and small healing so don't expect too much lol)

  7. Here's a few things most players don't seem to know.
    1. Every job has at least 1 AoE GCD at level 50 and they actually do have a use and they're not to be ignored.
    2. Using your buffs at the edge of the arena doesn't give it to your party most of the time, hitting your party with buffs is good.
    3. Saving everything for bosses in dungeons is a huge waste, you're probably missing out on several uses of useful abilities each dungeon.
    4. Healers are meant to deal damage too.

  8. The Transcendent rez buff doesn’t protect you from quite all damage (probably any damage that goes through tank invulns too). For example, if you get hit by the p8s p1 tankbuster, the buff protects you from the initial damage, but you still get a lethal dot on you.

My impression was that the dot damage scaled up with the more damage you took with the initial hit, but if you take zero damage the dot is the opposite of harmless.

Probably it effects you the exact same way as if you were to use a tank invuln for the tankbuster, since the battle team wanted to make the busters harder to invuln cheese.

  9. I’m not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but in the Party Members menu you can reorder the party list as you like (except for having yourself at the top).

It’s useful for grouping light parties/partners together (for example in p8s, it makes it much easier to see at a glance if flexing is needed for snakes). Or when blu raiding, you can put the acting tank and acting healers where they usually are on your party list. Or if you use buff macros that target the n-th party member instead of a focus target, you can move your preferred dps or offtank in the n-th spot in the list.
