  2. Note and warning: Linking separate glamour plates to the same gear set will not fix the problem if you try to change jobs outside of a sanctuary. The glamour will not be applied and you'll break the glamour. For exxample, if you have one glamour plate on Dark Knight and another on Gunbreaker but both are wearing the same armor set, then you must go to a sanctuary to apply the glamour or else switching from Dark Knight to Gunbreaker will keep the Dark Knight glamour. Luckily, recent patches make ANY sanctuary(a place with the crescent moon icon next to your EXP bar) work, not just major cities like it was beforehand.

  3. Oh my gosh I had no idea about the Forlorn things! I had one pop up but ignored it because the fate I was in was one of those single boss fates so I thought it was just something weird

  4. Even though you say "open world fates" it is absolutely worth noting that the chain bonus DOES NOT activate in dungeons. It used to, and some people still insist on pulling every single enemy in a dungeon, but it's absolutely not worth the time and effort to do so as regular mobs in dungeons do not provide much experience at all after a few years ago when they consolidated a majority of dungeon experience into the bosses. This doesn't matter too much for dungeons in Heavensward and onward but a handful of A Realm Reborn dungeons still have quite a few option enemies that just make the dungeon take longer for no real gain (though most of them were updated last year).

  5. Number 10 is a huge bummer once you discover that if you change jobs outside the cities, your glam will not apply automatically. It should really be a "You have to set up on a city, but you can change whenever" kinda of feature… [Or really, we should be able to use glam plates anywhere except dungeons]

  6. There’s an alarm system? 😳 This is what I get by not reading patch notes. Great video! 👍

PS: I’ve been playing this game for years and I’ve never seen a Forlorn! 😅

  7. The by far best way for Allied Seals is the Weekly Blue mage Masked Carnevale. If you got most or all Blue Mage spells it's reeeeally easy (Takes max 30 Minutes) to do it weekly whenever you want, for like over 500 allied seals, which is more than enough for teleporting everywhere for a week until you can do the Carnivale again.

    It's really amazing tbh

  8. Additional tips:
The main cities are all interconnected. When you reach MSQ level 15, you unlock the airship system. This will transport you to Ul'dah, Limsa Lominsa and Gridania for 120 gil. When you reach Heavensward, you can go to Ishgard for 150 gil.
That being said, if you also unlock the Gold Saucer, then you can travel there FOR FREE from ANY of these cities. Once you're AT the Gold Saucer, you can then take another FREE flight to Ul'dah. Use this to your benefit.
In Stormblood, you can take a boat from Limsa Lominsa to Kugane at the Arcanist's Guild for 300 gil.
In Shadowbringers, you can teleport to the Crystarium close to the Crystal Tower, a short flight away from Revenant's Toll (Mor Dhona). I recommend picking Revenant's Toll as a favourite destination. You can also set the Crystarium as a FREE destination (unlocked if you have 2FA on your account).
Once you've either completed the MSQ story or unlocked the Custom Delivery NPC Kai-Shirr in Eulmore, then you can take a free airship ride from the Crystarium to Eulmore by talking to a certain NPC at the Amaro Launch. (The details are hazy, my apologies.)
In Endwalker, you can take the boat to Old Sharlayan (I believe around 300 gil) from the ferryman at the Arcanist's Guild in Limsa Lominsa.
You can also take an airship to Radz-at-Han from any other city, including Kugane, I think around 150-300 gil.
Note that you get a free teleport from Old Sharlayan to Thavnair through the MSQ, it's then a cheap TP to Radz-at-Han from there (~150 gil).
