Here we pit side by side Dawntrail’s benchmark 1.0 against the recently released 1.1. Watching the update by itself, I didn’t notice much difference.
Totally different story though once you put them beside each other– although not that noticeable right away: 1.1 has more details, better lighting, shading, textures and more distinct seperation/layering of foreground to background.
Watch in 4K and pause every now and then for best viewing experience.

Honestly….I can't tell the difference
I don't see a difference, can someone please tell me what changed?
I never really thought to compare the benchmark itself lol, I was so focused on the details of the character models that I didn't see much point in watching the cinematic, there ARE suprising changes here though. Even the first scene seems to be shot slighty differently.
The lighting hitting the face at 0:22 really shows a good change from 1.0 to 1.1
only noticed when pointed out but i really do like the fog they added in the background.
View distance in 1:33 or so is very noticeable for me, i want less whiteness like 1.0 and more color vibrance like the 1.0
The lighting and saturation of the skin looks much more natural and healthy… didn't expect to see how suddle changes can improve the result that much.
Also, i think the saturation of the roads in thw jungle were a bit lessened which made the the more saturated character really pop ^^
The cheeks: dechubbied
Looking at the face at 0:18, the shader's environmental lighting seems greater whereas the light seems more "spread" evenly rather than awkwardly cutting off at a low resolution.
Better lighting made the colors less washed out, also making the edges easier to see.
chad which app do you use to record
I cant wait for Awntra!
i wish they could do make ffxiv on unreal 5 or some kind still im not satisfied my opinion they got so much money i mean dude…..
thumps down square enix has the power to upgrade the graphics even better and make it a better game ..
Out of the gate the boat segment looks miles better. The sails in particular.
1:05 I prefer 1.0. Now it looks washed out with less detail 🙁
0:35 AWNTRAAWNTRA
Tbh the difference is so slight that they could have gotten away with not telling anybody they were updating the graphics and nobody would have noticed 🤣🤣🤣
The warmth of the revised lighting is wonderful and the ability to discern faces in shadow is SO much easier now. Comparing my character with shots in the first benchmark is in some places almost night and day.
