Copperbell Mines, the second dungeon in FFXIV, actually got some solid reworks in patch 6.1. All three bosses were completely changed, featuring new mechanics across the board that will help teach new players about certain types of AoE markers. Really impressed with this one, even if I’m kinda sad that the gimmicky Ichorous Ire fight has been changed — the new version is absolutely better and 100% the right call, I just liked the gimmick.

I knew something was different when I played.
I definitely like the new, darker lighting. As a proper abandoned mine cave should be! If there is one thing I like about the changes to these lower dungeons, is the fact that they changed the mechanics for the boss fights entirely. They get new players used to avoiding AOEs, and giving different AOE looks to newer players. Which only helps new players become good players later on. 🙂
