🌱 Sprout Reacts to the Ending of Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers 5.0 & REVIEW| This is peak FF!

After 4 years since the first time we reacted to the Shadowbringers trailer, I have finally reached the end of the base expansion… and wow, does it live up to the hype.

*** due to a very silly copyright claim, a certain segment starting at 01:02:54 which lasts around 2 minutes is being muted. SORRY ABOUT THAT. I wish the YT claims system worked way better but here we are. ***

  1. Oh baby we here! I'm glad you enjoyed your journey until here bro. You could have easily dropped this due to not being your type of game or not feeling it which would have been understandable (I thought of quitting a few times) but you didn't. It's been a treat watching you and enjoy together with like minded people, it's one of the best things. Anyway, the best is yet to come (you know where this is from) so strap your seatbealts! This is just the beginning of the ride!

  2. This here will remain as Final Fantasy's magnum opus in storytelling forevermore. The emotional rush of excitement and sadness and all the tears throughout I'll never be over looking back on. Glad you've been enjoying the ride all these months and can't wait to see what you think of what comes next.

  3. It's fucking peak. Wait til 5.3 it's also peak. Then Endwalker is also just fucking peak. God I love this game. I haven't played in months, probably resubbing in 6.5.

  4. Under that flow of immense aether, the boundries between worlds collapse, and the reflection rejoins the source.
Totally not what happened with Ardbert or anything.

  5. Emet Selch's final moments standing straight, no longer hunched over from the burden he bore for thousands of years. Finally being freed from this purpose consuming him.

  6. Really nice reaction! I've been waiting for this ever since you guys watched the Shadowbringers trailer all those years ago! 😀
Also one really nice thing to notice at 1:01:00 is that Emet no longer is hunching. You have freed him of his burden, and is yours to carry now

Quick note for you: You can press any button anywhere for the Active Time Maneuver. For most trials just clicking cuts it but a certain one in 5.3 is really hard without this trick….

  7. Something that sticks out when you watch this fight enough times, after the QTE when Hydaelyn intervenes (again. still.) to save you, is what Emet says in the last phase. "That light split the world, and every life upon it!" It's probably the thing that most puts me in his POV – it's obscene to him, Hydaelyn is really and truly a monster to him and we're here leeching strength from her

  8. You might want to change your control-setting to legacy (standard is the default for mouse/keyboard, legacy is default for controler) for the simple reason that you have a more freeform movement and you move the same way in every direction, no slow backpadfling anymore

  9. FUN FACT!
What's neat, is that before every trial fight/final boss in a dungeon, when they're introduced they always have some sort of byline along with their name.
Now notice that Emet-Selch says to fight "without title or pretense", and notice his title card.
    Simply Hades.
    No title or pretense indeed….

    better double thank the healers.

also wow these fights are short with max item levels (unless its the EX version im reminded off )

  11. I love that in the final moment when we see Ardbert finally unburdened and rejoining his companions, his axe is finally clean of the bloodstains that were on it.

Stains that become even more meaningfull if you recall what they needed to do to be able to cross over to the Source…
