⚠️YOSHI P OFFICIAL STALKER PLUGIN RESPONSE!⚠️LEGAL ACTION⚠️ [FFXIV 7.16]

FFXIV Producer and Director Yoshi P has directly stated in an official post that he is potentially pursuing legal action against the Playerscope plugin which frankly is a disturbing violation of player privacy.. ..But I am concerned, what about:
1: Account ID server side
2: Changing lodestone IDs
3: Friends list removals
4: free name change

I personally do hope we see furhter action.

  2. They need to implement anti-cheat, and discriminate between acceptable and unacceptable 3rd party programs. Not adding any bite to your 3rd party policy or indiscriminately blocking all 3rd party apps isn't the answer.

  3. Wake up, 2025's first mod controversy has dropped! 👏 Seriously, Square has to publicly address mods every couple of months at this point. Enforce TOS and fix the underlying systems.

  4. If they don't change the way social controls function, this problem will always continue to exist.

Client-side blacklisting is a bad idea and has been for over thirty years. They know better and they NEED to fix this.

  5. This feels more like the lawyers are using Yoshi P as their mouthpiece. "The vulnerability exposes no PII." It's bullshit. I have faith in Yoshi P, but the only proper response for this issue is to properly removing the vulnerability. If they want to beat their chests about it, I couldn't care less as long as constructive action is promptly taken.
