Warrior's THawk got buffed because all the other tanks ranged is 150, while War's were the only ones with 100. Class didn't need a buff, so it's just a change to make them fall in line with the rest of the roles.
That gives you all the big ass swords. What?? ???????
Man, I was told that classes don't really lag behind in this game and ended up rolling DNC WHM and DRK….
As a rdm main I honestly don't think it's more complex than summoner, they're both in that same ballpark, so having them do similar dps seems pretty fair to me.
MCH feels like it needs some sort of adjustment beyond this. Dancer and Bard contribute a lot to a group with some pretty significant buffs – with that in mind, what's the selling point of MCH over BRD and DNC if you do less damage, provide less utility and have similar levels of mobility?
I don't have a suggestion or fix for MCH, but it feels like it kinda needs to land in its own little ranged category somewhere between the ranged casters and ranged support, because it seems like it's in a really weird place that simple numbers adjusting doesn't quite address.
If MCH being able to move justifies keeping their damage low then just give em gauss barrell back man. It just doesnt make sense that they get the short end of every stick by virtue of being a "selfish dps" as well as the ranged phys tax. I don't think it even needs to be around SAM/BLM levels, just not THAT low
Curious Zepla if you seen the Captain Grim healer video its not to long kinda short but funny..
Machinist still has the biggest targeted burst in the game (i think) and can still dps in any condition in comparison to melee or mage that needs to cast or do positionnals , machinist will not and should not deal as much damage as any other damage oriented dps in my opinion. At the end of shadowbringer i use my machinist a LOT to skip targeted mechanics on extreme fight (to farm mount) and is still a very easy job to play
SE adding buffs to multiple jobs kind of seems to me like they're admitting they should have never removed belts. They intentionally reduce damage for endwalker and now with this patch they just put it back. Sloppy!
As a WHM, I don’t have an issue with mana regen. Even having a DRK in a dungeon, I can keep mana above 50%. I just make adjustments where needed to keep the party alive while providing dps when I can with glare and Dia. I save my lilies for my aoe heal as backup.
Warriors unite. Our time has come, cast down all the inferior classes and drink their tears.
Not sure why people have problems with whm working on P4S have not seen mana or dps problems. If you have mana problems switch around gear and meld for mana regen its not all about your dps, as healer keep the dps up so they can do their job.
At the start of EW I job changed to whm (when I could log in) saw the thin air change and job changed to warrior after for all my healing needs.
I'm saddened by what I've heard about WHM at 90. It was my second main throughout Shadowbringers, and I was really looking forward to it being my first 90 healer. I'll still get it to 90 as I LOVE the AF and the weapon, but I hope they fix its issues sooner rather than later. At least for now I can still have a blast with it in PVP (thanks for inspiring me to give it a try btw <3).
Nothing got nerfed and an animation got removed… the travesty of it all. If a buff is given its too op if no buff is given people melt down. If nothing is done its broken. That is the mentality. This is a tired and old song and I'm tired of hearing it. I simply don't care anymore. No one is ever satisfied with anything. Mean while people are still clearing savage content all the same. Seems pointless to continously complain.
Machinists have the most Palace of the Damned solo clears so they probably think Machinist is OP
RIP DRK. Scuffed job, and no changes in sight.
So glad I switched to WAR this expac.
6.1 … WHM has blood lily removed? 😛
I'm genuinely quite sad about the state of DRK and WHM atm. They're my main tank and heal classes and both of them seem to have fallen behind because they barely changed in Endwalker. I get that they might rework some stuff about them in 6.1, but by that time it will have already been a couple of months playing these classes where it just gets close to not being fun anymore. Seeing all the other classes get new stuff and improvements except for the ones you play and seeing them fall behind feels extremely disappointing.
Now of course having said that, both classes are still perfectly viable, but that's not an excuse for all the other classes getting something new and exciting while for example DRK gets something dumb like "Enhanced Unmend". I would trade in a bit of the DPS DRK is doing for an upgrade to the mitigation any day of the week. When pulling wall to wall on it I fear for my life even while using literally all of my defensive options (spread out over the duration of the pull ofc).
Clemency is still nerfed. I’m still sadface. shelves PLD
DRK being squishy while pumping out 5.7k. Drop their deeps and give ‘em survival.
This patch was a numbers change….DRK changes are not number related…
Actually with this insane black mage buff,
the gap between redmage-summoner vs black mage is too huge 1100-1500 dps differences,
SMN and Redmage need a 3% buff.
And machinist a 5% buff .
BLM buffs sucks, honestly, Xeno? How about giving some damage to Flare and Despair?
Am I the only one who thinks that current state Bard is boring? It feels "okay" on single target. AoE feels not great. RoD spam = RIP
Factoring in Healer DPS in every balancing decision must be such a pain for the devs. I like DPSing as a healer, but the meta revolves mainly around how much DPS you can do while only using OGCDs to heal. That limits job/skill design options considerably, because optimal DPS is more important than optimal healing for a healer.
