  1. Not all addon's are bad but coming from WoW I completely understand where you are coming from. To many people have so many addon's that play the game for them that they don't even have to think. In wow there is one that will call out every move verbally that the other people in pvp are doing so you know exactly what they are going to cast before they even get the cast off. Its out of control.

  2. The harder the content becomes the more people will create a work around to make it easier to just pass it with minimal effort, cheaters will always exist in any game at any time just like A crime happens every hour it's just unstoppable regardless of how much security exists.

  4. It's happen to me at the start of Endwalker, my raid leader start using addon and other cheat and make the static feel cheap for not using it too… I refuse and eneded up quitting this group. The sadest part the raid leader still miss mech and call in P2S lol.

  5. Oh lawd now this is just sad.. just…

This is the difference in gaming generations. Those who strive to achieve the best, those who strive to aquire all, and those who just eanna be the best without being the best.

    Sumoon Dragheart does NOT approve.

  6. There’s no orange circles in Ultimate? Interesting. I’m a free trial player, so I don’t know too much about Ultimates. Still, once I get the full game and level up the job I want to main (Gunbreaker), then I’d like to still do Ultimates, especially TEA and DSR. May even do UWU to get the weapon for Ninja. First I have to make the most out of the free trial though.

On an unrelated note, I heard GNB is actually good for clearing POTD solo, which is icing on the already delicious cake for me. I want to complete these challenges so I can prove to myself that I can do anything if I am determined enough, no matter now difficult others say it is. This idea can also be found in Dark Souls players; getting a sense of power through beating difficult odds.

  7. 4:58 "It's like when people give their kid a controller for the Playstation, but the controller isn't actually plugged into the Playstation, but the kid thinks they're playing because they don't understand it's not plugged in."

Actually it's worse than that, because the people who use these cheat addons KNOW they're not actually playing the game, but holding onto the unplugged controller anyway.

  8. I came from WoW, and love not having to have addons in the game. I feel a greater sense of accomplishment. In WoW, if you make mistakes, you will probably be kicked or ridiculed, so you have to have them. In ffxiv, I haven’t seen that.

  9. This is going to get even the HARMLESS RP addons banned cause square is going to have to crack down on this, and might even encourage them to change their stance and start using anti cheat software like Blizzard does.

  10. Are the mechanics/attacks in Ultimates the same as their other counterparts (normals, extremes, and/or savage versions) except faster and possibly more potent? Or do they use brand new ones for the Ultimates? Both?

  11. I personally don't care if people are using add ons outside pvp. It's scumbag behavior doing it in pvp but it doesn't affect anyone but themselves in pve honestly.

  12. I started Feasting a few seasons ago and got accused of cheating in one of the pvp discords, wont name it for obvious reasons, witch hunts are never okay. I swapped from pvp in wow, various other mmos, to feasting in ff14 and they thought i was interrupt botting on my bard cause i had a TON of macro keybinds. Ingame Macro usage was part of the "skill gap" in feast. It legit made people think you were cheating cause you dont have to target switch to react to things. This shit right here tho…this is blatant cheating.

  13. Hate the be the bearer of bad news. There are actual cheats in FF14 that you can pay for. Anything from automating your job combat rotation (And being able to parse in the 99th percentile with it) to actually drawing mechanics on the floor so you can see where safe spots are.

There will always be cheats like those that I mention above because the FF14 developers have said outright that what is on your PC is none of their business. So until FF14 develops some anti-cheat warden like WoW has, these cheats are not going anywhere.

  14. Let's be real. Who cares about the small percentage of people that cheat? When my friends and I grind through savage for the first time watching guides and suffering together to get everyone on the same page. What we gain is more than shiny gear and a mount. If people want to cheat, it doesn't reduce my journey. Yoshi said he won't scan our pcs. If you want FFXIV to scan the PC then mods are gone too. Choose your battles. Let's enjoy this game.

  15. I actually know this guy, we actually did UWU prog with him. At the time I thought he was just really good. But dude was just so mechanical with his precise movement. Makes a lot of sense now. Also if you watch the clip, it's even worse, like the whole rotation is legit completely automated, dude literally only had to position and that's it. For folks that are wondering, as far as we can tell, he and his twitch are both banned now.

  16. Id say it changes the game from a Challenge to a chore.
and honestly if stuff like Savage or Ults where required to continue the story and leveling shit.. i would use something like this. as i don't like that kind of difficulty and am slow to recognize moves. but as its optional i just dont do them. EX's are enough of a challenge for me.

  17. Man I just got through the 2nd savage out of 4 in PF, never raided savage in current content in any other expansion. 3/3 extreme trials cleared. Same thing, never done that before. I just tried with a lot of different groups, watched a lot of guides, and got decent at a few of my classes. Why do people feel like they need this? I am not a World Firster or a Barser, it was just something I wanted to do and feel good about being halfway to my goal

  18. To be honest, I don't care? I play the game to have fun – my fun. What others are doing is irrelevant for as long as it doesn't affect my fun, and that's not based on some sort of e-penis size competition over who finished what. If I finish some top raid some day, it will be for me, for getting some glamour or mount that I wanted to wear or ride, not for showing off to others. So, until people cheating literally invade the raid I'm in dancing the Macarena or some shit, I just can't care… much less throw a fit about it. Getting with panties in a bunch over people you likely won't ever meet, and who you can just ignore in case you ever do, and how they have their own fun away from you, is just petty for me.
