Yoshi-P's Keeping A Secret From Us…

Yoshi-P has a (not well-kept) secret. One source of his inspiration makes FF14 a lot, LOT more enjoyable for the community. Thanks for watching! We hope you …

  1. I have a small theory. In EW, not only will important characters die, but EVERYONE will die. The WoL defeats Zodiark as he was destined to, forgetting that Zodiark is the force preventing the Final Days. Fandaniel makes good on the his promise to kill everyone, and the Final Days is reenacted to its full extent.

The reason we see the WoL alone with only Venat on his journey is because nobody else if left. With what little power she has left, Hydaelyn guides the WoL to the moon, where Ascian knowledge remains. From there, they formulate a plan to restore the world, with resummoning Zodiark and calling upon Phoenix as the main means restoring the world. (That's why they said Coils should be something you do before EW)

With Venat already acting as the heart of Hydaelyn, YOU are the only one left to be the heart of Zodiark. Emet's original plan in ShB was to make you the same vessel for Zodiark so the world need not be rejoined. He helped you posthumously as a continuation of that plan.

Perhaps as a final mercy, Hydaelyn uses her power to shatter the WoL once more, leaving the Source's shard as Zodiark, and Ardbert's shard to return to Eorzea and continue living as the WoL. Our characters continue their journey, while the worlds continue to be sustained by Hydaelyn and WoL Zodiark.

Small theory. Yeah. I was just thinking of why they'd say "You would go that far?"

  2. I think the mystery that we will revisit in 6.0 is the question of what "The Sound" was, or where it came from. Did it emerge from a mistake with creation magic? Was it intentional as a weapon or part of a plot to justify creating the first primals? Did it come another star, like the dragon star?

I think we are going to see a replay of the end of the Ancients, and in the process we're going to learn exactly how it came about (it seems like Fandaniel knows and he is duplicating it).

  3. Platinum huh… tbh listening to that reminds me of the mythical being that have that colors, mainly the Dragon and then I'm actually thinking of the Omega F/M when they turn into liquid. FF just loves to bring us to another world either in literal meaning or contextual meaning. I think only 15 doesn't do that tradition if we take away the novel. Anyway, I'm getting sidetracked.

Tldr I think we're going to the Dragonstar or Omegastar or in one way get involved on why these two get into a war in their homeland back then. Maybe 'the Sound' triggers the war behind the scene and to find out the truth we go wakey wakey to grandpa Midgarstomr so he gave us a lift there or maybe we'll meet Alpha and Omega again. I personally curious about where Azem was going during the Final Day and Sundering so…..

    ……. fuck I need 6.0

  4. Ok. I've finished 5.0 and I learn soo much stuff and remembering a lot unusual cutscenes in ARR.

Here is your spoiler warning. Leave this place heathens so thy story shall not be ruined

like how come we woke up on a carriages somewhere somewhat somehow as if we just "posses" this character since we too is "ascian". Then when we met hydaelyn, who are those people that are being called by her? Then when Cid remembering us that we came to him giving his googles when he was flying to eorzea and we met him in light and flying, i repeat FLYING IN MID AIR. HOW CAN WE DO THAT IN THE PAST. THEN WHY IS ARDBERT AND FRIENDS IN THE TRAILER IN ARR THEN LOUISOIX TELEPORT THEM IN TEH "SAFE PLACE" OR WAS IT THE FUTURE AND WHY PEOPLE FORGETTING HOW THE WOL LOOKED LIKE. THE ARR HAS TOO MUCH MYSTERY THAT WE HAS NOT YET KNOW 😭😭😭😭

  5. It's easy to write a mystery novel, all you got to do is write a normal story then cut out key parts and not show them to the reader, which makes it hard to know who is truly innocent or guilty. The protagonist and the antagonist are fighting over the reader's trust. In the context of FFXIV I don't think this would work very well unless they start another story from scratch in endwalker.

  6. The big mysteries will involve Zenos yae Galvus. They won't let him stay dead for some reason. To be honest, I'm already annoyed of Zenos. He had a glorious death, then he's' back again.

  8. I think I may have found a small clue or at least something that shows the depth of the mysteries laced through the MSQ. I don't want to say it aloud as it is spoiler-y, but if you've finish at least 5.3 DM me and I'll share it with anyone that wants to know.

  9. The only thing yoshi p is keeping, is all the money I dumped into that crap. They wouldn’t even refund me the money for the last expac that I’ve never, nor will I ever play. FFS ffxiv SUCKS.

  10. As a lore fan who came to FF14 back in ARR from WoW, one of the things that made me really love the game was picking apart the lore and speculating always felt like we were digging into what the developers were keeping hidden rather than trying to come up with what they will think up next. It meant that you were always looking for puzzle peices. Even talking to a NPC next to the guy with the quest could have a passing comment which might have implications and that small puzzle peice could suddenly ripple through what we already knew and have implications.

  11. Azem is the Heart of Zodiark …

"You are nothing more than a broken husk!" – Emet

Elidibus left Zodiark. That's why he wasn't sundered when Hydaelyn "beat" Zodiark. Ascians had zero issue with taking in those that were sundered into their fold. Elidibus, Emet, and Lahabread were the only 3 (known, Venat probably being another) Ascians that weren't sundered. All the others we have met were fragments of themselves. Just like us. So why would Emet say what he did in that brief vision, behave how he did after 5.0 after perhaps realizing what we may be…?

We're obviously Azem … why are we more powerful than unsundered "top tier" Ascians if not for… something else. Tho it could also be argued that because we were sundered, we gathered more power by allowing ourselves to accumulate more Memories. And thus more Emotions. Pay attention to what aether and aethercite is… they have said it several times, directly and indirectly. Memories and emotions from the past. Bottled up….

Primals are born from aether. What would their hearts be…?

    Hydaelyn and Zodiark are primals.

What will happen when our aether runs as dry as the Moon… will we have the heart to go on? Keep praying for us, Scions and Eorzea… and we'll never go away…..

  12. So many people have missed out on so much, because they like to skip and don't like to read. I love this game for the story, above everything else the game has to offer. It's not for everyone and you play the game the way you want. For me and me alone, Yoshi P has hit my sweet spot. I love mystery novels and crime drama's, so trying to work things out even from some of the less important quests as me so excited for how it all ends. Great vid, Matt

  13. I found an Endwalker lore bit in the Shrinryu fight way back in Stormblood.

    During the phase transition:
Zenos "We must shatter this mortal coil."

Then we ride Shinryu through a wormhole into another dimension. Which is clearly another plane because we can see alien structures floating in the clouds so it's not just higher in the sky. It's hard to see the wormhole but it's basically the edge of your screen warping.

After defeating Shinryu you can see that BOTH Hydelyn and Zodiark are in the background on opposite ends in the form of a giant white crystal like the once Hydelyn talked to us through and a dark one mirroring that.

The Endwalker splash art is a wormhole like the one Shinryu takes us through.

Which thematically puts our fight with Zenos literally in the middle of Hydelyn and Zodiark.

Zenos talks constantly about reliving that moment and has created a "Gateway of the Gods" to do so.

Endwalker is for sure going to take us back to that zone hinted at in Stormblood.

    Obligatory Half Life 3 confirmed.

  14. You are very much not bullshitting in this video hahaha Yoshi-P loves when the community wears the tinfoil hat and he likes to give us these small hints to get us reeling. He's a true marketer, and he delivers, every time

  15. At this point. the localtion matters little to me. I'm more interested in a engine overhaul, graphical and combat. The class/job system is fundamentally flawed and doesn't work, even Yoshida himself has said if he could scrap the class/job thing he would. A lot of classes have also got to a point where their kits are complete and we're stuck with a fair amount of chunky 1.0 built code from crystal tools (or whatever the things called)

I'd rather they took 2-3 years to build the new engine, and provide some type of new start to the game or a FFXIV-2 with a time skip, with its story selection broken up like SWTOR where you can select the expansion.
Take us back to before the sundering as our new place, or take us to the Dragon Star on some Allagan ship, all sounds cool to me, but end the current system or break it up. There has to be a way to solve these issues. Starting with the end of PS4 support.
