Xeno Cleared the forth Savage raid boss in the newest Final Fantasy 14 Pandaemonium Abyssos raid series. This is Xeno’s first clear of Abyssos: The Eighth Circle (Savage) Door Boss – Hephaistos (P8S). Xeno rages when he clears because prior to this he has been progging this phase for 16 hours on Warrior and they were not able to make the DPS checks even when nobody died. As soon as he changes to Gunbreaker they immediately get the clear. LUL

remember it's week2 gear with 615 weapon, how does this doable in actually first week if all jobs can clear it.
Skill issue. JP cleared with WAR. Maybe it's time to stop larping as hardcore raider and stick to normal mode and react content.
I think it’s cool that for a world first race you might have to try different comps. Add another week or two of gear and it doesn’t matter for any class.
Cant wait for next tier when savage becomes is even easier and then have ppl whine about why its so easy.
They made this one tight so that next time they dont adjust anything again and just tune everything to be easy and take this raid tier as an excuse of why they did it.
I honestly dont care that its tight for week one since they want the challange and i do too. Im glad that its this tight bc with gear it doesnt matter but it atleast make ppl push themselves.
For those who will think there is "meta" afterwards, no, it does not matter, it is week 1 problems, and that is it, it is BS for SE part? Yes, for the world racers, not for the PF, because I am pretty sure PF will only clear P8S after week 2 or 3, after week 2 anything matters at all, for gear, damage, status, etc…

We’ve always had the soft promise of being able to play whatever job we wanted, that we can clear content as that job with the right amount of work.

I want tight checks but if we're gonna have tight checks, jobs have to actually be within 1% of each other (maybe even tighter) in theoretical output or a job hierarchy will happen.
SE has proven time and time again they don't have the tools to balance jobs or see what their damage potentials are based on what gear exists, so at this point, where do we even go from here short of SE "getting good"?

Xeno says he did only about 500 more dps on Gunbreaker, two of the dps players got dmg downs on this run… is it really a 'Square can't balance jobs' issue? 500dps doesn't seem like enough to counter less dmg from Warrior and two dps eating dmg down..
Anyone know how low he brought the boss down to as WAR before swapping?

I don't blame em, I think GnB is pretty shit in it's gameplay and I much prefer War/Drk but as of right now if having to swap to GnB is the way to go than so be it. Usually my partner I always go into savage with is a PLD main so it kinda sucks they are in a worse situation considering how shit a War and Pld duo would be in dealing dmg.

Is Reaper viable for EX4, P5S and P6S or is the DPS too low? When I was raiding back in Jan RPR was the best DPS class and going by the comments, everyone is saying it’s diabolically bad rn. Should I try level up Dragoon instead as my endgame gear can be used on Dragoon

I know that this kind of problem is only critical for first weeks raiders, but man..
having to change your job to get pass dmg check, even though you already squeeze the best out of it, is pain.
Honestly balancing has been scuffed for years, I'm not even kidding. I don't know why everyone seems to be that surprised. It's pretty clear at this point that the devs at SE either don't playtest the jobs before adjustments or don't do it properly
