I never need an excuse to watch the Endwalker trailer but I do like the explanations. I started right after Stormblood and it wasn't until Shadowbringers that someone finally told me that the character in the trailers represented your character. I just had no context for the trailers at the time. By the time I got to Stormblood, I kept wondering why I hadn't run into that monk or samurai yet.
The monster on the moon at the end of the trailer is the 1st terminus beast. It is the first boss you fight in shadowbringers 5.0s last dungeon. They are akin to the four horsemen of the apocalypse. When you see one it is a signal that the end times have come.
Also the enemy killed near the end of the trailer is actually a boss of the last dungeon in 5.0, the First Doom, which we saw in an illusory recreation of the original doomsday the Ancients experienced. The fact that we are fighting it on the moon now brings up a lot of questions.
While I personally enjoy the Shadowbringers and Endwalker trailers more, I think new players to the game might be more into Heavensward and Stormblood because there’s less “story” to the trailers and more spectacle to just take in without context.
Although the identitiy of twins father was confirmed after the trailer those who owned the lore book Encyclopedia Eozera were able to identify him prior to it being mentioned during fanfest.
In a nutshell Sharlayn believe they are the custodians of history and in order to maintain that duty they are impartial to absolutley everything. If you watched the reveal during fanfest you'll have seen an area confirming they are absolute preppers.
One thing worth mentioning about the music for FF 14 and why people love it so much is that it tends to be an extension of the story. The music for these trailers tend to grab the mood of the previous expansion where the lyrics speak a lot to what has happened and hint towards what will happen. The sound team is great in extending the story and setting the mood using their music as that vehicle.
As an example, the 2.x song called Answers tells the story and extends the story of dallmud falling and 1.x being ended. It tries to set the mood for what will be 2.x https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awM5G6xBC2I. The same can be said for the heavensward theme. he same can be said for the heavenward theme where you are traveling to ishgard for the first time leaving behind so much https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JeUGDuUpDk. What's important to to remember is the lyrics matter as well as the music itself.
Oh these trailers also have spoilers on what happens so be careful watching them.
10:49 Small correction. We did technically know what he looked like. He's appeared in lore books long before Endwalker was a thing. But, not everyone knows about or has seen these lorebooks. That's why even before he appeared in Patch 5.55, a lot of people knew it was him.
The NoClip doco is good for the business side of the what and the why of how things went down for 1.0 to 2.0, but from a player's point of view, or the community's point of view, check out Speaker's Network's The Fall and Rise of Final Fantasy XIV.
Want to make a few corrections: The world was split into 13, not 14 realms. the source being one of them as is the first. The Source is what they call our place or origin so its not given a number like the first. Mechinist was released in Hevensward alongside Dark Knight and Astrologian. Fandaniel's first appearance in the story was during the failed instalment of 1.x as a lesser ascian, after nael deus darnus summoned the flight of dalamud, fandanial was never heard from again till patch 5.4. Aetherites work like harthstones but allows you to teleport directly to them from anywhere in the world outside instances. And last addition i want to add in is the voice over heard over the trailer is from a character named Emet Selch retelling the end of days (Armageddon) of the world before it was split into 13 parts. The same dialogue is from an instance dungeon called Amarot.
do you think BellularGaming will keep his word to stay in FFXIV and not just do the hype train game? until wow comes up with something again

Dude, i wonder if we are gonna see Zeromus from FF4 in endwalker.
Ninja in ARR
Machinist lol

I can tell you don't play MCH much.

Again the machinist being the forgettable memetic loser job.
@Gaming Kinda ! You know if we are going to get more content for MSQ before the launch in November? I would like som more lore before next expansion.
Chris, you did not explain my boi Zenos.
7:30 I expected him to say "This is Fandaniel, he's a crazy ass psycho bitch" lol
you need to explain how that fountain in Old Sharlayan work.. apparently one content creator dont know that…..
I appreciate this but I wish you had given this a more humorous tone like ScottZone's ShadowBringers trailer translation

It's a wow clone with anime art style better crafting and rp/housing. And story driven.
Fandaniel was introduced towards the end of Shadowbringers, he is simply using the body of Asahi who was introduced in Stormblood
Nice idea!
Vritra is a missing son of the First Brood…his mother is Tiamat. Oh and thats Yshtola, crusher of souls and Grandmistress of Savage Burns.
Would’ve been hilarious if they gave Zenos Frostmourne

"this is a fountain. it exists in real life"

5:44 Poor MCH, forgotten forever in Chris mind
Also, you missed the chance to talk about Scions group, back when Y'shtola appeared.

Arcanist and thus summoner and scholar were new with ARR. Then rogue and ninja were in 2.x patches.
No love for machinist here
