  1. I played wow since 2004, and i finally had enough with Activision/Blizzard, been playing ffxiv for few weeks, recently hit lvl 50, enjoying th game so much, msq, dungeons, trials, raids, side activities, community, people playing music, bot going back to wow for sure, even if they try redeem, because i think it will not going to be genuine, but more how to bring them back and milk them again, have a great time with wow while it lasted, now is time for changes.

  2. WoW is like that toxic girlfriend you stayed with for 16 years because you never thought you'd find something better. Then that cat girl with the big tits shoots you a wink and you never look back.

  3. I had the same sad emotions when I left WoW… But FFXIV embrace me so well and kept doing amazing things for me and reaming doing today that I don't miss WoW anymore!

I hope you'll have a blast in XIV, my friend! I know my past 4 years in XIV have been far more uplifting than my 13 years of WoW prior to it!

  5. Thank you for saying what I'm not eloquent enough to say but feel deeply in my heart. I'm 66 yrs old and have been a devoted WoW player. I recently unsubbed for reason you are acutely aware of. I too have found someone new and happiness is mine once again.

  6. My break wasn't so polite. I unsubbed, gave away my gold, deleted my toons, uninstalled and sent an account deletion request (they still haven't gotten back to me) which is the equivalent of throwing all their shit out a 2nd story window. There wasn't enough good will left for a polite break up, because we tried that before but the weasel still managed to squirm their way back into my life.

  8. I hear you. I was 45 when I got lucky and got a slot in the open beta which they cut off at 550,000 people in just 3 days of it being open for signups in 2004. I played for years, took breaks, came back because nothing else worked for me as well. I raided in a small, friendly-like-a-family guild and we worked our way up to Ahead of the Curve achievements in 10-man heroics then mythics through Warlords. Then Legion hit and it just wasn't the same, especially for me as a Tauren druid alchemist/herbalist. It became a chore to play. The guild quit raiding and I finally left almost for good. I came back for BoA, leveled up and left after I did. Same thing with Shadowlands. I tried classic and then TBC classic and it just isn't the same anymore. The thrill is gone.

  10. Whenever I see videos like this, with the cringey ass titles, i just smack my head because i know full well this is just a cry for attention, and a deep yearning to be like Asmongold. Even Bellular is doing it in recent months. If you want to leave the game for something else, just do it. Don't subject yourself to this lowly form of content. Asmongold has just proved that it's just profitable to shit on the game and dip and now everyone is doing it, and honestly it's pathetic. You're not so special that you need to publicly explain, as a grown ass man, why you decided to not play a video game.
Nothing against you personally, I just get so tired of people making videos like this. We get it, the game is in a bad state. So is every other game on the market.

  11. Curious why classic didn't do it for you? Was it the new meta way of playing the game – world buffs, dungeon/rep grind in TBC, etc.?

  12. I'm not saying a game is better than an other, but the fact is that to read even just a tiny bit about neurology can help to understand why at some point the brain can't feed on the same thing forever. Memories have the particularity to ''trap'' emotional states with pictures, sounds, forms, … now, there's info here to understand what's going on. I still haven't found anyone who still to E.T. on an Atari 2600 to prove it wrong.

  13. The only thing I'm sad about is that I didn't find FFXIV sooner.. I quit midway through BFA, after they introduced the corruption grind. At that point I was so frustrated and angry with the game finding a new home was easier. I didn't realize it would be so easy to walk away from 15 years invested in a game. But final fantasy is just the game for me, in almost every aspect. Is it perfect? No, there's still a few things that even bother me now with the game, the combat responsiveness in particular. But I'm someone who has always loved story driven games and have played many RPGs. I'm also a completionist so I have been very slow in my progress, I'm about halfway through storm blood now and I have 14 jobs to level 70+ already lol. I've done every single quest and unlocked every blue quest. But it's a game that's definitely a journey before destination. Welcome to Eorzea!
