  1. Hi, I'm a FF11 nerd and yes, I'm gushing over the 24man! I'm gonna be replying to this comment to lore dump/explain things from a player's point of view if anyone cares to read them!
But before that, great video Woops! Hope y'all enjoy the rest of the raids as much as ya enjoyed this one!

  2. Bakool Ja Ja paying us back for the tacos was all I needed to forgive the big lug, as far as I'm concerned.

A fun little detail with Prishe and Alxaal by the by, it's possible to spot them sightseeing around in various places, much like Alpha and Omega. I spotted them in the Potsworn village the other day.

  3. I’m about 90% certain the “plot twist” is going to be that Vana’diel was literally a VR MMO in Alexandria and Sareel Ja mistook it for reality. Alxaal was probably an actual guy playing it during the shard jump, which is why he knows Prishe but she doesn’t know him (since Prishe is based off an NPC, she wouldn’t know any players). It would explain all the gamer jargon from the lore messages and Jeuno dialogue.

  4. This whole alliance raid was such a love letter to XI and chock full of memes and references. I can say for absolute certain, that I owe XI a playthrough after the alliance raid series is completed. Just such a good time, I can’t wait to run it every week.

  5. FFXI nerd here. This raid had me smiling so much that my face was hurting. It's so, SO GOOD. Seeing Fafnir open the fight with Spike Flail (a rather notorious dragon attack) had me cackling when I went through this on launch day. There are countless little nods to things FFXI players will be all too familiar with; this was definitely a joy and I'm delighted to hear that non-FFXI fans are having a blast as well.

  6. Gonna put it out there: highly suggest looking into lore on Kam'lanaut and Eald'narche if you're interested. The term "ancients" used in this context from that last CS as well as the fact that they're still in Tu'lia specifically might be referring to either of them as possible bosses for the 2nd tier.

  7. Did you know your gender will affect what Prishe will say about the WoL in her world. When Alxaal talk about beating the shadow lord she will say ‘He was there with him’ if your male and ‘He was there with her’ if you are female.

  8. I definitely want to see more raid fights with multiple bosses like the five Ark Angels. There is so much potential with this, and I really want to see what SE can cook up next.

  9. You know this could be recency bias, but in my opinion, this might be the best alliance raid in the game so far lol. Orbonne Monastery/the Nier raids (I fucking love Nier) are pretty close for me though
