  1. I enjoy watching y'all play more than you know. Each of you are different. Brian is emotionally invested like me which is personally satisfying seeing him in his feels. And Chris does the hilarious snarky adlibs in accents. I want more actually and want to know where Chris going through end Walker is

  2. I'm betting we will have comedy weapons but we would have to talk to Godbert to get them. i always think back to the vase quest in ARR where they put it back together. Godbert takes it to add more touches to it and it turns into something ridiculous. My bet is we will have a glamor on top of it that if Godbert "finishes" the weapon it will turn it into something ridiculous.

  3. I think to many people focus on the comedic side of Godbert and forget he is a member of the syndicate and the words greatest goldsmith. Well there may be some comedic moments (other relics have had them too, Gerolt is not exactly the most stable guy) These are manderville weapons (an incredibly wealthy and successful family) NOT Hildebrand weapons. I think far to many assumptions are being made just because Hildebrand is required.

  4. There's no Criterion dungeon in 6.3 though, so if the two are connected then I'm not sure what you'd be doing in 6.3. I've seen some people mention deep dungeon, which I guess is a possibility if they can make some sort of connection there. It would really depend where the deep dungeon is located imo. If it's on the moon, then yeah, I could see it.

  5. ff14 community jumping to conclusions and causing mass hysteria. We literally know nothing about what these weapons will look like. People need to chill. Even if they are? nobody is forcing you to get them.

  6. From what I saw from screenshots and all, both Gerolt and Godbert (aka the mostly undisputed smiths of the realm, who do a Predator arm clasp) are going to be working together on it so, who knows what we're going to get. I'm excited either way to be honest!

  7. there was a piece of content that took advantage of relics…it's called eureeka. eureeka relics and gear had elemental bonus. that stuff is still use by people doing BA runs which is why you can make gil in eureeka and it has more longevity than bozja

  8. it is a trope for JRPGs to put "joke" weapons at the end of the game for players to unlock. lol Tales games are an example. It fits considering we are at the end of one major arc and the start of another so it would be a good spot.
I hope that the weapon design contest weapons are used personally.

  9. I think I'll also pause to say, Hildabrand seems to take itself seriously even when it's not being anything of the sort. I'm pretty sure no joke weapons as final form. Specially as hildy won't be actually working on them himself.

  10. I hope it is connected to the new Criterion dungeons. I already have a group ready for it. I'm a bit saddened its in the half patch but then again it's a giant feature that needs to be rolled out with care.

I'll also be busy with island Sanctuaries tbh. That and making gil off crafters.

  11. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the forms are joke weapons but I highly doubt the final form is gonna be a joke. They may be comedic characters but Godbert is THE goldsmith basically, and with the last story update sending us out treasure hunting initially and criterion dungeons now, I'd guess the final form is gonna be gold themed weapons or just something very ornate and Excalibur-esque but not jokes.

  12. If Greg winds up being involved, maybe we'll get weapons based off of the most powerful ones from each FF game's world he visited.

    Like Sephiroth's Masamune. 🙂
