He knew that Teledji's wild actions would eventualy provoque a civil war on the Alliance, that would subsecuentaly leave Eorzea weak to the threat of the Empire, he knew that killing the WoL was a very bad idea, and he didnt wanted to kill Raubaun but Ilberd was forcing him apperantly. I suppose this is why he give us support of his company to help us on Stormblood
