I know this might sound weird considering the job just got updated but, I want to hear more about what the team considered for BLU (the battle royale idea, a limit break, etc.). That and 7.0 news but come on the latter is obvious- who wouldn't want to hear a little bit about 7.0?
Ranged, Caster 7.0 melee only job in 8.0
Put me down for a whole belt load of Glitter Bombs!

I want more job lore for the newer jobs. As well as optional job quests. They could just be talky segments worth only a handful of gil and I'd still love it.
That said, my hope for the fan fest is a trailer for the next story segment, maybe a bit of the gods storyline, maybe a new class or limited job like we got with rogue (apparently? Before my time) more dance emotes, a crossover with 16, if it's possible. And as much as I personally loath the idea, a guestimate on how long PS4 compatibility will be maintained. Also also, what they have learned from working on 16 and what that will bring to 14, if anything.
Concept art for the adult twins?
orders a pizza with extra peppermint
This is a good one đ
Oh, Adan! Love your cartoon skits.
Hard agree with Adan on the villain thing. Going from strictly magical, existential threats into societal and political ones would be a good pivot. There's also still some room left to explore the remaining Ascians and how they reconciliate their traumas. But that one's a bit riskier with repeating themes too close to Gaia and Amon respectively.
Your voice is so lovely when you talk normally †this sounds much more natural – its so good!
Hope you have fun tomorrow in the new dungeon ^^ looking forward to what you figure out regarding the lore!
Screw chemist i want bishop a light/holy based caster. FFXI had puppet master.

Jumping off of doing more with minions on the Island Sanctuary… I'd like to be allowed to also release my Retired Race Chocobo onto the island to roam free, too. I've got 46 of them from grinding out the Perfect Race Chocobo and I'd love to see them all doing their own thing on the Island again, even if it's only a few at a time. As for more Gold Saucer stuff, yeah Blitzball would be nice. I'm in an RP Blitzball league that uses open world water sources to play games, so I don't really need it, but would love a lore confirm of it 'it exists' as well as the kind of Blitz themed team Glamours or Minions we could get from it.
Iâm glad to hear that one you point out the fact that at every expansion we get a melee and a range jobs, people just think that itâs role base and not gear for adding new jobs.. and marketing wise it makes sens for trying to please the most players, for exemple I mainly play Tank and melee dps so if the add double range itâs just sucks for me. We got a aiming job in ShB so yeah : Casting and Scouting for 7.0 if we get two jobs
As a mage type job? Letâs go crazy. Entomancer. Using insect based magic spells and abilities with a magic gauntlet that shoots alchemical pheromones with your aether. Gives you a bit of that Chemist flavor. That or a Dreamtime based job that uses the power of waking dreams for magic.
Two versions of trusts. Trusts and Duty Support. So low level trusts only have duty support. What if your SQUAD could be the trust system for those lower levels? Duty support, you don't have to level them, it's just there, and ready. Squads, you level, you put your work in, and there you go.
I know if was hypothetical but Corvos is gone overrun by blasphemy
speaking of potential new jobs, i think it would be cool to have a job that uses the magitec gunhammers we've seen used before by npcs like Nero. maybe a melee dps; even though we alreayd got one last expansion, called Devistator or some other name they would like to use. as for some stuff it could do, i think it would be a neat idea for it to have more defensive abilities, maybe the ability to help protect its fellow dps… so that i as a tank dont need to constantly swap targets to use things like oblation and nascent flash every time one is sill and gets greedy.
I've always thought that with a graphical upgrade, it would be the best time for a time skip. Chances are all the older places are having some minor tweaks, more items being around in major towns etc. What better explanation than a couple of years jump forward for the changes. Keep it small and you don't have to make a ton of changes, just explains a noticeable difference. To older players it's a great thing to see some minor changes in the world. To new players it's not big enough to affect more than plot.
With all that talk about the Sineaters and since we're opening up a route to the First in last of the MSQ before the new expansion, it made me think of a potential job from the First as a kind of inverted Reaper. People who have bound themselves to a Sineater and use the concentrated light aether within their bonded Sineater to protect and heal their allies, maybe they started out on the side of the Sineater's or Innocence, but have come around to the side of restoring the First and making it livable again or maybe bound themselves to their Sineater because they used to be a loved one and they're trying to dispell all of their held aether to try to bring them back to humanity. They'd be like a Cleric or something and probably use a catalyst like a cross or maybe something like a censer, healing and buffing allies around them.
About the Grand Companies – and maybe this is for people who don't know because it's not obvious. I'm Captain Rank. The way you get it is by doing Squadron Dungeons, but a variety of them. Can't be the same one over and over. You can track your progress with the Green Check in the corner like normal. Eventually your guy will give you a quest that will then let you get promoted to Captain. I don't know how many dungeons you need to run, I kind of forgot. I think maybe 10 unique dungeons? 15? One of those.
I'd love to see Squadrons rolled over into duty support or some kind of bodyguard thing.. because I loved being able to make a gang of goons and dress them up, which is something you can't do with the standard ones they have currently. They also have a lot more character than just "eager conjurer" or some crap. If there's one thing that grates on me is the throw away nature some of these NPCs have. Just give them a name for god sake.
I'd also love to eventually see (within a few exceptions) that all glam is unrestricted.. because as a male healer (and a Scholar at that!) , I get a little tired of being forced to look like a pretty princess. I'm a care giver, yes. But I ain't no dainty little flower either, you feel me? That's all healers and casters get, just dresses with ribbons for days.. its so annoying. VARIETY. Do something different. I feel so type casted. And a lot of times when I'm coming up with Glams in general, I get stopped because of class restriction.. I just don't feel like it really means anything anymore. If you can run around a dungeon in a god damn bikini wielding a greatsword and taking damage like a champ, who the hell cares, ya know? Let us dress how we want. The only limitation should be Job Artifact armor. And thats it. Let us run wild with this shit, what are you so scared of?
I'd also love to see Blue Mage rolled over into an actual job, or lets say.. a version of Blue Mage that can play the game with everyone else. That's my pick for caster. Because while I love the job's swag, it's limited nature doesn't really lend itself to being worth much. I can't justify investing time into it, sadly. And I'd say the same thing for any other future limited jobs. They're a waste of time. But that's more a me thing than anything else. The other job I'd pick, hands down, is Corsair because there's so many references to them in Limsa already. Make them gun totting pirate/thieves and that'll scratch both itches regarding the scouting job and filling a glaring hole that's been there since the beginning. Pistol and Saber stuff, Jack Sparrow and all that. If we're going ocean bound in the next expansion, now is a good enough time as any to introduce some kind of swashbuckler job.
Thats me done ranting. Probably won't get any of these, but ya know.. a man's gotta dream now and then.
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!! YOUâVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!! Geomancer I believe we are getting. Hands down. I hope anyway.
So in the new Variant dungeon in Kugane. We encounter a geomancer with a handbell and it had a unique cast. Back in swallows compass they basically just rang their bells. In the variant dungeon they actually have a unique cast also with a tornado attack with leaves swirling around inside. So Iâm guessing geomancer is the new caster.
